A simple system to setup and use to monitor activity in the home. The camera and night camera are great for the money.

This is very easy to use and to set up. Nice slim and discreet design. It sends notifications to my iPhone. I wish it could have custom alerts on my phone, it just buzzes once. Sometimes the canary system is down and you can not view the camera while the system is down. Not sure if it's they are updating their system.

Good basic security for my apartment. My only issue has been with consistent connectivity but that may be due to my internet connection. Aside from that have been very happy with the device.

I had to switch my internet speed to 3Gb but after that, it works just fine and great video quality. I like how it automatically turns on after I leave my house and not have to pay for recorded activities. Oh, make sure u have a smartphone that's compatible with the canary app and it's listed on the website.

I did my research and decided to pick this one. The operation is straight forward. Set up was a breeze. My only complain is if they added the voice feature, that would make it a 5 star. I wish I can talk through the device from my phone. And maybe add web access rather than just through the phone app.

This is a very useful product that is a great help to peace of mind without being obtrusive or a nuisance. Easy to set-up and has been intuitive as advertised! It works really well as is, but we have recommended a couple of tweaks that we believe would make it even better: a distinct notification sound and a way to override "do not disturb" for a Canary alert.

DO NOT USE THIS SECURITY SERVICE. We have a Canary and our house was robbed last week. We never got an alert, and while the Canary captured the dudes ransacking our house for over 5 minutes, it never registered that anything was amiss. We are supposed to be alerted when there is activity in the house while we're not home, but in looking into later, we discovered that Canary, due to some mysterious malfunction, never recorded us as being absent. The Device was stuck in Home Mode, even when we had left. Our phones were with us. To make matters so much worse, Canary Customer Service has been difficult to get into contact with, and they refuse to speak with us over the phone. They will only communicate with us through emails, and online chat. They believe our Wifi isn't good enough. We told them our wifi is fine, and works perfectly for all other devices, and we have a lot, my husband works from home and requires fast internet speed. They then asked us to do our own troubleshooting, and provide them with a Wifi Speed test. When we provided it, customer service told us "Well that's what it is now, but we don't know what it was when your house was robbed." !!!! What?!!! Then why did you ask us for the test? Last email we received from Customer Service says that they are passing on the complaint to the product team, and "if we could help you, we would." Yes, you could help us. You could follow through with your products promise of protection, take accountability for the major failure, step up your customer service game, and make it right with us. On top of having our house horribly ransacked, the stress of dealing with Canary has been overwhelming. Police officer recommended a few other devices, like SimpleSafe and Frontpoint. Canary was not on his list. Other Canary users we've been in contact with have reported same Home Mode malfunction.

The camera has a hard time staying hooked up to wi-fi and even when it does it doesn't always perform properly. Right now I can see the recordings of recent events, but cannot see live action. It does have a great picture and good distance w/great night vision.

There are many great things about this camera, but the first I noticed was how aesthetically pleasing it was to the eye. It's size and appearance make it look like anything other than a camera. The tech it has to register air quality is an added bonus compared to other similarly priced security cams. Setup for me did not work with the yellow cable, but could have been user error. Instead, I used the bluetooth option to setup the camera. The walk-thru process to set it all up via the Canary app was the smoothest tech setup I have ever done. Camera is clear as crystal on the iPhone. It's not a true zoom but the app does allow you to zoom in on the streaming video if needed, which is a great tool and quality doesn't suffer. Lots of options to set up emergency call numbers, camera modes, etc. Only downside is I don't believe it has the ability to work with other home smart tech devices. Comes with a limited amount of free cloud video storage, which is an added bonus. For what it is, I'm giving it 5 stars, especially if it's your first home security camera. I would buy another one.

I recommend this product for an extra eye for your home. Really easy to set up. Does exactly what it say it will do. The only challenge, if the power goes out so does the internet connection. But still worth the buy.

The Canary installed quickly and easily. The app provides great visibility into real time activity. Notices are received within seconds of activity, it's now recognizing our cat so we are not overwhelmed with messages, it is fun to see her while we are away. The field of view is excellent and one unit can cover our primary and secondary entrances and approximately 60% of our 2000 sq ft of living space. I am very satisfied with the system and iPhone app.

In general, this product does everything the Canary website promises it will do. However, I have experienced difficulty in adding the other Canaries and viewing them on my mobile devices. Overall, it is a good security system for the money. The company seems interested in constantly upgrading the software.

The video quality was good and the alerts on my phone helps to let me know if movement was present at home when I was away. Show me the readings of temperature at home so I know home conditions. The bad part was that I gave alerts when my wife was home in error. Over all, not bad.

I don't really care for security cameras, but the world is bringing their need to the forefront, so we got one. It works well, and clearly. You can zoom in for a closer look when you feel the need. It works best if plugged directly into the modem because if the power goes out the modem will refresh but most times a router won't without physically being there to refresh it.

This is my first security device like this and overall I'm satisfied. The network configuration took two tries because the device I was using to configure the unit was on my 5 GHz network and passed that config on to the Canary. Once I changed to the standard wireless frequency and reconfigured, the remaining set-up was straightforward. Definitely captures movement in the room well. So well, in fact, that I even had one false positive where heavy cloud cover outside caused the sunlight coming into the room to change so suddenly that it saw the shadow moving through the room and caught that! I've had the device for a couple of months and that's the only false positive, so no worries there. But pretty cool that it caught that change. Alarm is loud and notifications to my phone are pretty much immediate. Really nothing bad to say about the device other than the minor initial configuration issue that was easily resolved. I may buy another one to protect more of my home and recommend this product.

This product is easy to set up and operate. Notifies me when there is activity. Pictures are high definition. Very satisfied.

This device syncs with your phone and allows for constant review and interaction. We bought this device after our house was broken into. It can be a pain if you have pets as their movements constantly set it off to send alerts but the system also allows the user to set the sensitivity levels in how frequently it sends alerts. The wide view is very nice and even allows for zooming in when in "live" mode. The privacy feature is also nice so you don't feel like you're being monitored and watched while you are home. The alarm feature is nice knowing I can set it off from work should I find someone in my home while still having the recording to use.

I was looking for an indoor camera that I can access from anywhere, but didn't necessarily look like a camera. This unit fit the bill and works graet and is easy to set up. Love the audio function as well.

I read the reviews myself and then purchased. The setup was extremely simple and the picture quality was high definition. I like being able to check in anytime I like to see what's going on in my home. Also equally important is being able to set off the alarm. This is a stylish and one piece design that fits in well with my current living space.

So easy to set up! Love watching over the house when away. It even picked up a bug flying in view of it. The view is wide and covers my whole great room and dining room, where both outside doors are located. It looks sleek and blends with other electronics in our great room. The night vision is mazing, too! Love this security camera and hope to add more soon to other rooms or outside.
