After much research I decided on the Canary CAN100USBK. The setup was simple, and the quality of the video is very good, including in the dark. The interface with the iphone app is very good, allowing me to watch live, receive notifications of activity allowing me to react, notify authorities or activate the loud alarm. I can set the mode to Away, Home, Night, or Private. Subscribing to cloud storage of video is optional, and I have opted not to subscribe. I am very satisfied with this unit, and I have supplemented my security system with 2 Canary Flex units which are also very good. I would definitely recommend

are an issue.About 2 weeks ago Amazon Web Services went down and no one could access their camera or get any alerts. Other than that if someone asked me I would just say get a Canary and you'll thank me later. The camera works fantastic, especially if you live in a home. I have 2 and I use them for security, watching the dog and babies without having to get up (Yes, Im super lazy with a puppy and a yr old baby). The options it comes with are pretty cool too. I got mine for $169 BUT I would easily pay full price for this camera. Easy to setup and after the firmware update you'll get you are off and running.

Excellent customer support. Very good picture. Easy to set up. My only problem is I can't hear the notification to my phone. I would be totally satisfied if I could assign a very loud ring tone to the notification alert. I checked with apple and they said the manufacture had to add this capability to the phone app. I called Canary people and they said they will consider adding this to the app.

Very easy setup to my iPhone 6s plus, and my wife's Galaxy 5. Picture is very good and clear, even the night vision camera is outstanding. Very pleased with this purchase and planning on purchasing a second on for the garage.

I heard about this through a friend who actually had their house broke into while they were away. They were alerted, saw people in their house and so the pressed the 911 alert on their phone. The police got there rather quickly,while the robbers were in the house. It was all recorded including the initial robbing the house, the police busting in and chasing them. One of the robbers got close to the item while searching around for things to rob however this camera just looked like a room freshener and he just looked right past it. I was sold and purchased shortly thereafter. Very pleased with it so far.

great cam quality, would be better if it has more features... compares to the awesome hardware the device has...

This item works great. Very easy to use and to set up in your home and in your phone. Ut is a nice design and look that is really very unnoticeable in your home.

As a lightweight security device, I think the canary is great. It does lack a couple of things which my nest cam does that I wish were available on the canary. 1-it does not pick up sound as a notifiable alert. It does record audio and plays back audio live, but noises don't trigger it to tell you anything is going on. 2-I wish I could speak through it with 2 way (or even 1 way) voice. Not great as a baby cam for a newborn as you can't aim the camera very specifically. However, as a security device or something to watch your pets/kids if their in another room, it's great! The design of the device doesn't suggest that it is a camera, so that's a plus for being somewhat hidden to an intruder. Also, having the sensors for carbon monoxide and what not as well as temperature and humidity are great. Another big plus it has over some other cameras in the same class is that it has some limited storage for free. Others require a subscription while the canary gives you 12hrs of history for free (constantly revolving).

Canary senses when you're away and show you all the comings and goings. The image quality, day or night, is quite good. We really like to key an eye on the temperature, humidity and air quality. Canary showed how better our air quality became when we installed a new furnace. Canary is inexpensive assurance.

This is the larger Canary unit. I don't really pay attention to the air quality monitor, but it is neat feature to monitor your home temp's when away. The camera works very well in day and night mode. The only thing I would like to see is if the camera could operate more in "incognito"---there is always a light on when it is in operation. This is not so obvious during the day, but more obvious at night. Picture quality is great. The system works very good over my home wifi. I had one issue on setup and had to delete and reinstall the app on my phone. Canary phone support is very friendly and helpful. For what I need it for, it does the job. In the big picture, this is an inexpensive security system.

Works great but still has some development to be done. Am looking forward to some software upgrades. Recognizes when one of us leaves the house or returns, but not me. Arms when one of us leaves and disarms when she returns, but not for me. I get home and get a notification that there's movement in the house....., it's me. Should have disarmed. Great product with even greater potential, and will be reassuring to have when we're out of town.

Inconginito camera almost looks like a speaker dock. Clear picture and super precise with movement when put into away mode. I will be trying the new version of this camera for my new borns room.

The video has great definition but it lags. This could be due to my Internet connection, so this would work best with a high speed connection

It was a breeze to set up and it only took a few minutes! I am truly amazed at the reliability of this Home Security System! I feel much more protected and having peace of mind that it will deter intruders and is always on if in an emergency to call the local police, fire and rescue. This (yellow bird) canary is also discreet!

I was very surprised as how well the canary does its job, The definition and the ability to scroll within the allotted area is great, very good zooming capability as well as the setup and installation was a cinch. I recommend this product hands down

Pros: Good HD quality picture, the night vision look Clear too Cons: Does not have 2 way communication feature. The Apps does not work very smoothly, quite often freezing The item outlook looks good, but about its Price, can find a better camera has more features for a lower price

Well worth the purchase price. Anyone not wanting to pay the dinosaur prices for an ADT, Brinks, etc...system and monthly monitoring fees should definitely consider a system like this. Setup was simple and the picture quality is excellent.

I have used other individual home security systems and wanted to try another brand to see if the content, warnings, etc were any better. Overall it provides the content in a nice app for smartphone and tablet as well as being able to view online with the desktop. The notifications are not done through email so sometimes they are missed. There may still be some settings that I am missing but that may be the break on using this as a full-time security system.

This is an awesome device. Simple to use and setup. It has a very cool air quality monitor. Not sure if it will notify you if smoke or other hazards arise. This system will detect when you or family members are away and if you are it will send you a notification to view, call or sound alarm.
