I saw this movie while it was on tv and i fell in love with it. Since the sudden death of Mr. Ledger I became increasingly interested in his previous work. I love drug movies and that's exactly what I got. The story felt real. It seems like a story that many have already experienced and sercome. I was blown away by the beautyof the human spirit. The poetry and art in the film are used as symbolism and creates the tone for the 2 hr. drama. I love this movie, i just purchased it today and I quickly dove into the special features! It is a film that when I feel like I need help or that I feel stuck, I can revisit and the harsh reality of so many bring me to my senses of how fortunate we really are. Beautiful and amazing story that is for the mature and open minded. Not for children. :)

You can't go wrong with Heath Ledger. Period. The guy is GOOD. And he is up to his usual par in this movie. This is the tale of the downward spiral of two lovers who are addicted to heroin and the mess and tradgedy that the drug makes of their lives. It's a train-wreck of a story and you won't be able to look away as you wait for the next terrible, depraved thing to happen to the protagonists. For those of you who like happy endings - you're not going to like this one- it's depressing. And after an already depressing hour or so of film the end only gets worse. But I loved it. I recommend it even. But be warned - it's going to bring you down.

I loved watching Heath as he may have been as a person not playing a character. I know that he was warm , caring, and sensitive. It is such a tragedy to die so young with so much talent. He will be greatly missed and his spirit will live on through his daughter and others who knew him on and off the screen. The movie was so great that I would never tire of watching it.
