Slapstick comedy about an illegal cross country car race with an ensemble cast. Plenty of running gags with the dodges used to avoid the law and Roger Moore as a man pretending to be a famous actor that played a spy.

I loved this movie. I grew up with it and just howled with laughter. It was a delight to see it again.
The movie does have graphic language. Due to it being filmed in the 80's, it is NOT a politically correct movie and can be offensive to today's audience.
And gang... not for under 13... come on use common sense

I remembered Cannonball Run with nostalgia and wanted my kids, one daughter really into cars and rallies, to experience it too. For the price, it was worthwhile - about what I'd pay to rent it (and I couldn't find it to rent anywhere). I would have been disappointed if I spent a lot more, but it was entertaining. Overall it was just ok, not really all that funny, not that much action. Mostly about avoiding speed traps, less about fun racing and friendship on the road. Silly for sure, just not that many good laughs and no oh wow driving or anything. Lots of great characters, and that was fun to watch. If you remember this fondly, it may lose a bit of its shine in a re-watch. If you've never seen it, may want to pass this one on the side of the road.

Hilarious concept for a movie with a bunch of funny actors from all over the spectrum. Based on cannonball rallies it was Burt Reynolds and Dom Deluise at their funniest. And it never hurts to see Farah Fawcett again at her most gorgeous. For a good time, check it out.

Wow so much fun to see this Movie after over 35 years. I saw it as a kid when my Cousins got Cable in the early 80's. This was a fun trip back in time. Loved seeing the old Legends of Yesterday. Burt Reynolds was the big star and u see a young Jackie Chan playing Japanese Driver. Thumbs Up! Only $3.00 bucks in a bin!

Every now and again, I make a point of pawing around in the $3.99 bin, and generally come up with a few gems. How could I say no to a movie that features Burt Reynolds AND Jackie Chan? Plus, this movie pretty much started the "rally race" sub-genre of films.

Such a great bad movie. I love this film; it’s not art nor is it well written or put together. But it’s a lot of fun and a throwback to a much simpler time where movies were made for simpler reasons.

This is a comical portrayal of a real event. The Cannonball was a cross-country road race with one goal; get to the finish line first. Burt Reynolds, Dom Delouis and a bunch of other famous people keep you entertained while you drink beer and eat cheese puffs.

I loved watching this as a kid with my grandfather, brings back some great memories! I think it even holds up well today since it doesn't depend on outdated FX/CG, simple comedy mixed with brief action and has some of teh best comedians of the time.

Bought this to show to the kiddos. They love the old classics when we can all watch them together. Burt Reynolds was in his hay-day, Farrah Fawcet, Dom Deluise, the Rat Pack, Terry Bradshaw. Gotta love it.

Only purchased it because I have been trying to stream it somewhere for years, and can’t find it. Used a coupon so it was free to me. Possibly the most politically incorrect and offensive B movie of that era when viewed through more mature eyes. Yikes. No redeeming qualities, and I don’t know what to do with the DVD. Too bad to watch again, too offensive to give away lest it fall into the hands of some impressionable young person. Too good of condition to throw away. And too worthless to keep. I should have let better memories of it from 30 years ago stay where they were. Some things get better with age. This movie did not.

Some will say not so great, but think of when it was made and it has cool car and chase and some humor. You either like these things or dont. Added bonus it has Jackie Chan in it.

Great, classic, screwball type of comedy. Whatever you do, make sure you keep watching through the end credits, as they run the hilarious blooper reel alongside them!

Where to start... First, you have Burt Reynolds and Dom DeLuise, add in Dean martin and Sammy Davis Jr., some busty babes for eye candy, and a silly premise, and you have one of the funniest campy movies of the time!

Great '70's movie with a great cast. Great stunts when they
Were actually done by stuntman instead of CGI. Who's who of 70's actors, athletes and personalities. Great looking film for its age,and at a great price.

Every once in awhile you're lucky enough to find a movie you thought about adding to your home collection in one of those Best Buy bargain bins, buried under 100 copies of Bridget Jones. Such was the case with Cannonball Run. Sadly the only special feature is a commentary track by the film's obscure makers and not even DeLuise or Reynolds or any other of the ensemble cast which is the only element making this extremely low budget cheesy poorly written film worth watching. There wasn't even a theatrical trailer or extended outtakes -- who wouldn't love to see a 5 minute long montage of Burt slapping Dom? Still, the $3.99 price tag and the fact that I didn't have to order it for delivery from Bestbuy.com made it worth it.
