    when I bought the Cannon printer, I did so on the recommendation that it was quieter, faster, and that the ink was MUCH more cost effective when compared with the Epson that I owned at the time. Not so much on all three counts. Oh well.

    Never had a problem with Best Buy printer cartridges before today. Purchased a Canon 240 XL Black cartridge a couple of months ago to have a spare during the holidays. Installed the new one today and the printer showed an error: 'Appropriate ink cartridge is not installed.' Put the old one back in, it prints but is very low on ink. Looked up my purchase history on the website and it says that the cartridge is no longer returnable. The new cartridge is identical to the old one. Doesn't work and can't take it back. So much for buying cartridges ahead of time.

    Not much to say about this. Its ink and it makes my printer work! I would have given it a 5 star rating, except it is so expensive. Every so often I run out of ink and I have to replace the cartridge.
