This Canon gray ink cartridge works great in the printer. I prefer to use the canon brand rather than the off brand because of the brighter colors.

Don't get me wrong, gray is nice. It's supposed to minimize use of black on lighter prints. More black would be better. But the gray must be installed, no choice allowed.

Generally I find the gray and black cartridges separately to make use of the XL capacity. The printer seems to yield stellar prints and I haven’t been disappointed with the ink’s lifespan.

Canon CLI-271 Ink Cartridges are great for color prints, gray scale images. They produce great color saturation, tonal gray range and black and white prints.

Canon ink may not be cheap, but their cartridges work every time. No clogs. Photos look great and last a long time without fading.

Don't forget to buy this grey ink in addition to the regular black and color cartridges. This is, essential, for printing high quality photos.
