Replaced off-brand ink with Canon. Eliminated a couple of problems.

It's an OEM cartridge. It works just fine. Because it's OEM it's a little pricey.

Switched from HP to Canon and products work well. Not sure if ink last longer or not, but print quality is excellent.

I rarely use color, but the color ink cartridges seem to go down even when I don't use them (evaporation?) and as with all ink cartridges they are expensive. Also even though I have plenty of black ink and just want to print in black, if a color cartridge is empty, the printer is disabled and cannot print black, until you replace the color cartridges. . Very inconvenient and irritating!

Good product, although the printer seems to go through this toner rather quickly making it a tad on the expensive side.
