I have a number of EF lenses, so this is essential part of the kit if you buy a Canon R or RP body. I have had zero issues with using my EF lenses on the Canon RP that I bought.

Almost seamless adapter for my R6 and L glass. Maybe a slight delay and softness of some images.

I was worried when I was purchasing the Canon R6 mk ii, that my l series lenses weren’t going to work well with the camera. Long behold, it works flawlessly. Thank you Canon to making this dapter! The only cons are some vingetting between the camera sensor and the lens itself from the dapter. It’s not too much of annoyance. I am worried that overtime, the seal between the camera body and the adapter will not stay sealed, also along with the lenses seal.

Works Flawlessly. Have been using it for 3 years and have no issues with it. It takes every EF lens I throw at it and even tried it with a Laowa Lense made for EF Line. NO issues with connection or functionality. Worth the price to continue to use an assortment of lenses. Here I have a pic of it using the EF 40 mm but I've also used the 50mm 70-200 L, &70-300 from Canon as well as generic zoom adapters. It's so easy to use too.

I’m always looking for a deal, so when it cane to buying the Canon version or saving a couple bucks to get the knock off, i went with the knock off. Its just a chunck of metal after all, no optics are involved. Should be a no brainer right? Wrong. The one I got worked and communicated with my R6 and all my lenses but the attchment to the camera was just a hair off. The adapter would rock back and forth just slightly. Not a huge deal and my images weren’t affected but not having everything seated tightly gets on your nerves after a while. I used it for a bit before I broke down and got the Canon version which is a nice, tight fit. No more little wobble to deal with and I don’t have to wonder if my mount is getting damaged over time. Spend the extra money and get the brand name here.

It fit perfect, look perfect and work perfect, with Canon, Sigma and Tamron lens for my new EOS R and all work right all the time. (1/2 month of use, 2 weedings and 6 couple photographic sessions) Cons: -The only one thing that I don't like too much is the release lever, it is tiny and sometimes difficult to use, but works well.

Recently I switch to a mirrorless camera Canon R6 Mark ii with my Canon EOS 5D Mark iv. I have different focal length of EF lenses and I didn't purchase any RF lens yet. I am using this mount adapter and I colud perfectly focus and get the same picture quality of each of my lens. I hope before buying a costly RF lens anyone can use their old EF lens with this mount adapter with a confidence.

I primarily shoot interviews and advertisements in higher education using a Canon R6 Mark II, an older Canon 6D, and a professional Panasonic camcorder. I purchased this adapter to use my old Canon EF lenses with the R6 Mark II. Long story short, I absolutely love the new RF 24-105 lens, but I’m particularly fond of my EF 35mm f/2, and it works perfectly with this adapter. It’s also reassuring to know that the IBIS (In-body Image Stabilization) functions seamlessly with EF lenses that have IS. You can further enhance your video quality on the R6 Mark II by switching the movie stabilization to "Enhanced." This adapter is definitely worth the investment, saving me from having to buy all new gear.

I purchased a Canon R6 with RF 24mm105mm F4-7.1 kit lens. The lens is okay but it feels kind of flimsy and I'm not completely happy with the result. I purchased the EF-EOS lens mount adapter so I could get some more versatility and use my EF glass, which I feel gets much better results for the type of shooting I do -- primarily live concert photography. It doesn't have the control ring but that's fine. The main thing is that it ensures your EF glass works as though it were RF glass and doesn't add a ton of weight to the camera. There are two annoying things: In order to change lenses, you have to take off the entire lens with the mount, then take the lens off. Then you have to add the new lens to the mount and put back on the camera. It's not the most efficient thing to do if you're out in the field or on a shoot. Also if you have a lens with infinity focus, that motor whirrs and buzzes endlessly for some reason or another. But you have to really be paying attention or in a quiet environment to really notice it. Besides that, so far no complaints. It's a good option to continue to use your EF glass that you already spent a ton of money on already.

I purchased this with my Canon R6 Mark II. I upgraded from the Canon 5D Mark IV. One of the things that caused me pause when deciding to upgrade was the significant investment I had already made into EF lenses. This is where the adapter comes into play. It allows me to use my very expensive EF lenses without any issues. All functions operate exactly as they did on the 5D; this includes autofocus, stabilization, aperture control, etc etc etc. If you’re hesitant about the upgrade from the EOS line to the R line don’t be. The adapter works great to ensure your investment into EF glass is protected.
