Crisp, clean pictures and easily carried. I recommend whole heartedly.

I was worried this lens would let me down, but after reading reviews and taking the plunge, its been a great decision. Used for video or photo, its fast quiet and sharp. This lens stays on one of my two crop sensor cameras and is always ready for action, small and convenient. The other lens that stays on the crop sensor is its big brother the pancake 40mm. Both stellar purchases for the size, cost , and quality. Thank you Canon!!!!

I use this lens for my 70D canon. It's so practical. Mostly use it for city adventures/urban photography where I don't like to carry a big heavy lens. This pancake lens makes it convinient to carry a DSLR around in your backpack. Quality is great. Happy that it has autofocus/manual focus. A bit disappointed that it doesn't have auto stabilization so you might get some blurry pictures every now and then. I highly recommend this lens.

I paired this lens with a Canon SL1 for a 2nd camera in my collection. This a quick and sharp lens, even at $150. Great image quality, I primarily shoot with my Canon 6D and L series lenses. This makes a great all around lens, with a crop sensor you are right around 38mm, as this will only work on crop bodies. Again totally worth the money!

Love this lens. Super compact, which is perfect for blending in with the surroundings! Plan on using this for street photography, and weddings. The large f2.8 aperture creates good "background blur" and is also good for low light situations. Solid grab and go lens.
Only down side is if you plan to shoot video, the autofocus mechanism is a little loud. I shoot stills so this is not a problem for me.

This is an excellent lens. The price is affordable and the photo results are very sharp. I purchased two of these lenses, since I was very happy with the photo results. I used one of them for my Canon DSLR camera, and another one for my Sony Nex mirrorless camera (Of course you will need to buy a Canon EF to Sony Nex adapter).

Amazing lens and you can’t beat the price! Everyone should add this to their camera bag. I wasn’t sure how much I would use this lens…but I use it all the time!

This is a fantastic lens. I've had it for a couple of months now and I've been thoroughly pleased with it. The build quality is superb and the image quality is quite top notch, nice and sharp. The low-profile makes it great for carrying around and pulling out for fast shots. I've been using this lens primarily for video projects but have been taking loads of pictures as well.
My only con is the the manual focusing on it; it's a "focus by wire" which has a light lag to it, I'd prefer a mechanical focus but it's not been a deal-breaker for me.
I really love how this lens performs and wholly recommend picking it up.
