Perfect lens for wide shoots in small spaces. Great quality.

This is a good part for my camera, photos are clear. This part doesn't make my camera to heavy to carry. Im happy with this part.

I was excited to use this lens on my new 7D and it really made me a believer that price isnt everything in this market. It performed great wide open @2.8 and did even better @4 I use it all the time for everything from "macro" (with extension) to portraits of my boys.

If you've read the previous reviews please note that many suggest that this lens provides a wide field of view, a lens that is great for panoramic shots and landscape photography. IT IS NOT A WIDE ANGLE LENS. This is a standard focus depth lens. It's primary benefit is the light weight and shallow depth of the lens. Similar lens' can be more than twice as long. It is a LIGHTWEIGHT STANDARD lens. It has NO increased focus depth for macro photography. It is NOT IDEAL FOR CLOSE UPS.

this is like the 50mm on your old film SLR.. nice for low light pictures (unlike the kit lens)

The lens takes beautiful shots. The kids look clear and detailed.

Another lense to expand our cameras capabilities. As a fixed 24mm lense our Canon Rebel can take photos way better then our phones and this lense is great for moving targets. If you have a 50mm fixed lense this may be a little irrelevant, but it does allow us to take pictures of a moving baby much better compared to the 50mm.
