I wanted an affordable lens to shoot available light photography and this has been a great addition. I shoot both dawn/dusk scenics & inside shots. While much less expensive than the Canon EF lenses, I'm pleased with the optics.

I use this for low light situations as well as daylight sessions. It’s very versatile. Creates a bokeh when aperture is adjusted, and just takes great photos.

Great lens for smooth and perfect pictures for your DSLR.

Lens is sharp. However i am not satified completely since its not really wide angle as i thought. Its good for specific category like street photography ,but definitely not an all rounder. If you already have a kit lens , i wont recommend this. I used a 50 mm earlier and felt its much better for my use.

Wanted to get this lens for close up and am greatly impressed with the closeup work. While there isn't automatic stabilization on this lens, auto focus works great.

I have quite a few lens that I own and I wanted something that would be easy to throw in a bag and take anywhere with me without much added bulk or weight. Amazing at landscape and astrophotography!

Great option for anyone who wants a relatively wide angle of view when shooting video with a Canon DSLR, since its STM focusing motor is smooth and almost totally silent when in operation.

I use a Rebel T7i for conference calls and live streaming. I really enjoy the blurry background I get from this macro lens. Totally worth the price.

I used the lenses for a sweet 16 and it was great for pictures.

Ok lens for the price. Was not bery satisfied with the feel of the focus in manual mode because ot feels like it is rubbing. I read online that this was ok. I just did not like it and felt like poor quality. Image wise it was ok. The 2.8 f stop was great. Overall you get what younpay for.

If you have a crop sensor and hate zooming out with your legs using a 50mm then this one is for you. Absolutely a great value for the lens. Perfect for those starting out in photography.

The compact design and low price point fit my needs perfectly.
