Actually not my favorite lens I own. Wouldn’t recommend. Hardly use it compared to others.

Seemed like a pointless lens. Get the 50 lens over this one if you have the option.

It was worse than 18-135mm IS STM lens on wide and narrow apertures: when photographing faces, it makes dark side even darker/underexposed, bright side even brighter/overexposed and resulting face is too unattractive (unnatural light, shades and wrinkles) :) while kit lens makes the face exposure more even (natural light, good color, less shades, good face). Otherwise it's ok lens, very useful for general photography at night thanks to f2.8.

Not sure if it was defective , but I found the pictures not so crisp and up to mark. Returned it, will go for sigma 30mm

Pretty good lens considering the cost. Wish I had gone with an Ultra wide angle instead. Lens works decent.

Bought this because I wanted a low cost wide angle lens. Canon does good work at every price level.

I was looking for a good wide-angle lens that would capture the scenes that I wanted. The price was right, and f 2.8 was fast enough to get the job done.

Haven't really experimented much with this lens but I love the canon products!

Since taking a beginning photography class, I have been wanting to purchase a prime lens. Glad I finally made the plunge!

The description of "very good condition" was NOT accurate. There are multiple internal scratches and pieces of dust that are not able to be removed. They would not let me return it. Total waste of money, I feel like I was scammed. Do not buy anything less than new in the box from BestBuy.

I used the EF-S 24mm f2.3 today. Excellent. A wide angle prime for $150 convinces me that canon is paying attention to what we want. The build quality is excellent. It has a solid metal mount. The image quality is very good. There's a little bit of chromatic aberration with the aperture wide open (to be expected). But, it produces nice images with a lovely bokeh. the focusing is a little weak at infinity. But, otherwise nicely sharp. It's a spectacular lens for the price and will take up only a small corner of your camera bag and budget. STM drive is noiseless and fast focusing. I'm thrilled. Canon... if you are reading this. Please continue to make affordable prime lenses of this build quality. You build em... I will buy them. Still... This is an excellent lens for not a lot of money. This is an A+ value.

If you already have a nifty 50 this is another option. Due to upgraded technowelge. I use this lens for video

hard to focus, fotos did not come out well,would not recommend this lense to anyone

Was looking for a fixed len alternative to act as a fisheye and was recommended this lens. No. Pass. Nah Returned it

Images were not sharp, had better luck with the 10-18mm lens for architecture and other wide angle photography.

The lens I purchased was defective. I returned it and bought something different.
