I have a Canon 70D and I love using this lens with the body. It is very quiet and AF is decent speed. Picture quality is good for a lens in this price range.

I bought this a couple of days ago, and went right out and tested the lens on my 2 cameras. MY 60D & 70D. The lens is solid to feel, has a very snug fit and is light.
The colors are reproduced at a very high level and I have not noticed any problems on the corners with vignetting.
I shot about 300 photo's, using all aperture settings, shutter speed, and ISO. Just to see how flexible it was to different settings, I Liked the results. Because it is an f/2.8 lens, I got it so I could make low light video's on my 70D, but now I see the opportunity to also use it as a walk around when I head to Italy in April. I may now buy a 2nd one, and have it stay on my 60D permanently.

Still getting used to this lens. It's my third prime and also the widest.
Pros: Low cost. Small and very light. My T3i is pretty portable with this lens on there. Feels like it focuses pretty quickly. 2.8F fast enough for indoor shots.
Cons: None really for the price. How much more could you expect for $150?

I read all the reviews on this lens before purchasing and it is just as everyone had described. Great for an everyday lens on your DSLR and takes great photos. I used it to take my sons newborn pictures and the pictures came out amazing! I would recommend this lens!

I was looking for a wide lens that was under $200 and while this wasn't exactly what I was looking for it was great lens to have besides the lens kit that came with my canon rebel t6. I would buy this as another lens option if you have the money for it.

I don’t know why they say i was a paid individual when i write a review, but I don’t get any compensation! Its a camera lens for a camera i bought recently. The guy said the camera was easy to run, ha ha ha! No way its more complicated than my laptop! The lens though was easy to install and is not as large than the one that came with the camera.

I was very excited to get this lens and picked it up the first day it was available. I am even more so disappointed with it. There are 2 reasons I had to return this lens.
The first main issue is the focus! Auto focus is on par if that is all you plan to use. The issue is the manual focus. It is hard to explain but there is a lag when focusing. The lens still uses an electronic focus when you switch to manual focus. When you turn the focus ring, there is a delay and then you hear the motor focus. Making precise focus is almost impossible because it focuses different amounts when you turn the focus ring the same amount (sometimes it doesn't even focus and you have to turn it more).
The second issue is that the lens often makes skin and faces "cartoonish" it's also hard to explain. When everything in the picture is at the correct exposure, the highlights of a persons face appear mono toned/over exposed or like you cranked adobe lightroom's "luminance" setting to 150%.
Another issue that is worth noting is that the lens has bad corner darkening if you shoot in the shade. This can be corrected in post editing but it is a lot worse then canons other 24mm or 28mm lenses.
I tested the lens on a Canon T5i. The only thing that I likes about the lens was that it is sharp and light weight. Other lenses I currently have a 18-55mm stm, and a 50mm f1.4, 50mm F1.8 (back up 50); all of which function properly on my T5i.
