I've wanted this for about 3 years after using a friend's and it did not disappoint! Sooo creamy bokeh, really sharp, the stabilizer is great. Gorgeous photos!

I read a lot of reviews before purchasing this lens and have no regrets!! The lens works great, the bokeh is my favorite part of this lens. Only downside is it’s a prime lens and you have to be far away from your subject.

I have a great canon L lenses but this 85mm is magical.

Love this lens, great contrast when slightly stopped down, and surprisingly good detail aok the way through! Reliable stability when using for video. Note - I only shoot video, and I use a c70 for most projects. The lens becomes an f1 when using canon’s adapter which is awesome for looking into darker spaces, and since the camera is natively a super 35 sensor I also have the option for extra punch in when using a pass through adapter. Very nice lens, good weight, size, and durability for video applications specifically. I have a hard time recommending the modern rf versions for the increased cost unless you have the right cam bodies to give up the lens stabilization.

Love this lens. Super fast and accurate! Creamy bokeh! Only drawback is the weight!

Excellent lens! Pricey but worth the money!! If you want to take professional photographs, and you are willing to do your photography homework, this lens is worth the investment!

Used this for senior portraits and it was a winner! Also used it at graduation and could not have been happier with the color and detail.

I have only used it once so far. And the pictures were of my crazy kids and dog when we went to the park to run around. The pictures came out super sharp! The back of the camera, alone, looked amazing. Edits were awesome. I can’t wait to use this lens for a wedding this summer. I will update again with pictures when I start using it more In the next few weeks. (I have a canon 5d mark IV. ) I couldn’t decide which lens to get and I am happy I decided on this one. It is perfect for portrait photography!

I switched all my EF to RF except this one. IS works great and it's just a keeper. I used it with EF to R adapter without any delays or lagging. I also love the look at 1.4 aperture. Just love how sharp and crips the image looks.

I’m using the lens to take pictures of my family. The result with this lens are awesome. My nephew is getting married next year and can’t wait to see the pictures come out with this lens.
