This EOS R5 MkII has several significant upgrades from the original (which I still have and use). The autofocus tech is substantially better. I shoot a lot of sports, birds, and wildlife. Once the autofocus locks on, it rarely looses the subject, whereas with my original R5, the lock would drop if the subject moved behind a branch or if another person got between an athlete and my subject. The Mkii stays on the selected subject much more consistently. The high-speed top end for burst is a double-edge sword...yes, you can almost be certain of capturing a moment of fast action. But using the full 30 fps along with 1/2 second pre-shoot selected is too much for all but the most intense circumstances (15 frames for the preshoot and 30 frames for every additional second). I will absolutely use it for photographing birds diving for fish and other once-in-a-while super action events, but I will likely stay away from it otherwise. It's super cool to have as an option though. Along with the various burst modes, they have also included a menu to allow you to limit the number of frames in a burst; that's something I've mentioned to about a dozen Canon reps over the time I've been shooting with my original R5 and I'm really happy they've made that option available. I wish they would have included a GPS in-body. I do a lot of hiking and like to know specifically where on various trails I've taken my photos. But I do have and use the external GPS and it works fine although it's cumbersome. All in all, it's a great camera and I'm super happy to have it as my primary shooting camera.

So far this product has been great, took some time to get used to all the feature and upgrades/differences from my old Canon R. But love what this camera offers in the quality of the image. I would highly recommend this product for wedding and portrait photography as well as wedding video. Don’t waste your $ on the cinema…

This camera was truly my dream purchase, and it has delivered beyond my expectations. The image quality is incredibly sharp, the autofocus is fast and reliable, and the overall performance makes every shoot feel effortless. As a photographer, this camera has already elevated my work and given me more confidence in every project. I’m extremely satisfied and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a professional, dependable camera.

Hands-down, an absolute amazing camera. If you are looking into getting an amateur photography or just like taking spectacular photos, I highly recommend this camera. It will take some getting used to and you’re gonna have to learn how to use it but once you do, everything is awesome..

I switched from the Canon 5D Mark IV to the EOS R5, and as much as I enjoyed the 5D, I really love this R5. Lighter, better focusing, very sharp images, intuitive menu options, I can truly go on and on about the step up from great to GREAT. I now understand the hype behind mirrorless cameras.

The Canon R5 Mark II has completely redefined my photography experience! The autofocus is lightning-fast and incredibly accurate — it locks on subjects even in low light. The dynamic range and image clarity are simply next-level, and the 8K video quality is breathtaking. I love how Canon improved heat management and added smoother handling compared to the original R5. It’s the perfect hybrid camera for both photography and videography. If you want top-tier performance, reliability, and color science — this is the one. Highly recommend it!

Exceptionally great camera with razor sharp focus and image sharpness when paired with RF lenses. I would definitely recommend opening a best buy credit card to utilize their limited time cashback offer! I would recommend this to anyone looking for high megapixels and professional photography.

Excellent hybrid camera, the best I've tried, perfect focus, giant screen viewfinder with the perfect resolution, a pass, I've tried it both in video and in photo, its 45 mpx make it a real photo machine.

Great cámara, I use this cámara to record videos of color tattoos and it shows the colors really vivid and true to the image. I like this a lot better that my Sony aIV, Sony it’s great for black and gray tattoo videos but this canon perfect for color photos.

Upgraded from the R100 (as a starter for mirrorless) and the R5 Mark ii is just in a league entirely of its own. The versatility of this camera and every lens I have collected just continues to impress me. The touch screen and flexible shooting makes any shoot possible, you can zoom in and delete or flag photos. Shooting in Raw allows correction of any post shoot edits. Just very excited to continue to explore this camera

This is the camera I've been waiting for. Canon has knocked it out of the park with this upgrade to the vaunted R5. The new auto-focus is amazing, and the stacked sensor makes for great action shots. No doubt it will only improve as firmware updates are released.

Original R5 x 2...Cant put into words how BA this camera is and the suoer speed it focuses!

Autofocus is spot on. Best camera I’ve owned. Must have for wildlife photography.

It’s a very great camera. The quality is just amazing.

Absolutely love this beast of a camera! Had issues with delivery, no fault by Best Buy. A bit pricey but so worth it.

I read a lot of reviews. I compared and chose my first mirrorless camera. Thanks for helping me with the loan. It was easy and fast. I recommend this store!

Easy to use, lightweight and very powerful. I’ve been using with my old EF mount lenses and results are great!

I absolutely love this camera. I upgraded from the canon R5 MK I and I have no complaints.

Other Owned Camera - Canon Rebel t6 (dslr) and r7 (mirrorless) I’ve been extremely impressed with the Canon EOS R5 Mark II. The image quality is outstanding, autofocus is incredibly fast and accurate, and the camera handles moving subjects exceptionally well. I’ve used it for sports, wildlife, and aviation photography, and it has performed great in all three. The subject tracking and eye detection make it much easier to keep fast-moving subjects in focus, and the burst performance gives me a lot more confidence that I’m going to capture the exact moment I’m looking for. The detail and dynamic range in the images are excellent, and I really like having the flexibility of the 45MP sensor when I need to crop. The controls and menus will feel very familiar if you’ve used Canon cameras before, and despite all of the technology packed into it, it still feels intuitive to use. Video capabilities are also far beyond what I personally need, but it’s nice knowing they’re there. It’s definitely an expensive camera, but if you shoot sports, wildlife, aviation, or anything involving fast-moving subjects, the R5 Mark II is an incredible camera and one I’m very happy with.
