I love this camera so much I have two of them. It is so nice to have it with my 24-70 Ff/2 lens for literally every occasion - weddings, portraits, family sessions etc.

If you are into 4K 60 FPS, wait. If you have more needed in IBIS, fast and accurate AF, 2 card slots, and low light performance, this is a must-have camera. I upgraded from Mark IV to R to R6. No regret. It has everything all Canon user has been asked for except overheating issue in 4k 60 FPS.

Coming from an EOS - R, I was a little worried about the 10mp trade-off by switching to this body. The EOS R6 makes up for it with undoubtedly more consistent autofocus, memory card melting speed, and predictable ergonomics. Dual Pixel AF 2 has made significant improvements in how sticky and astute the tracking is. The sensor is impressively clean and less noisy at higher ISO in both video and in photos. There have been some overheating issues when recording video in 4k 10-bit, but a firmware update has been issued to provide a good work around. 10-bit 1080p is a welcome offering and is an improvement over the already great EOS - R 8-bit 1080p. I'm glad I made the jump, but there are some downsides. First, most computers don't know what to do with the 10-bit 4k 4:2:2 so expect to use proxies (side note: the file sizes monstrous). Second, for photography the EOS-R is 90% the same camera for 70% of the price. Lastly, in backlit situations, while using eye-af in video the camera has a tendency to hunt for focus (hoping they fix this in the next firmware update). I don't know where to fit this one, but if you like the "Canon Color Science" it seems like they have a different formula for this camera body. It's noticeable warmer than the EOS - R, and should be kept in mind by those will be trying to match images from different Canon bodies. The colors are very pleasing and preferred, but they are different. Overall this is an excellent camera that feels like it should've been their first offering (maybe that's just conditioning and expectations). As a photographer this is the camera to get if you've been waiting to jump on the RF lens system. It's fast, it's consistent, and it has all the bells and whistles for most professionals. If you're a videographer that shoots primarily long format 4k, than this isn't the one for you. Anything more than 25-30min bursts will have you pulling your hair out, no matter how beautiful the image maybe.

I've only taken it out one time, and it is a HUGE improvement over my old Canon 70D. The autofocus hits at a much higher percentage (doing sports action shots). And it's low light capabilities is significantly better than my old camera. I can shoot at much higher ISO's, and the image comes out relatively clean.

Amazing hybrid camera that stands the test of time. Canon continues to give this camera firmware updates making it even better the longer its been out. Its a professional camera through and through. Its the best low light camera out there. Im very happy with this camera. Now time to invest in the RF L lenses.

Awesome mirrorless camera with a ton of features. Upgraded from a Canon T6s and the switch was much easier than expected. The R6 is easy to use and customize. The interface is streamlined and makes adjustments/customizations simple. So setting it up to what you're familiar with is quick. Definitely, a lot of options for customization which allows for faster setting adjustments to take a shot. Haven't used this camera with the RF lenses yet, but using the control ring adapter with the EF lenses has been seamless. The addition of the control ring also allows for another quick way to make adjustments. The electronic view-finder is fast, clear and accurate. Images come out super sharp with the quick and smart auto-focusing system. Shutter is relatively silent. Haven't used the video-recording features as extensively yet. So far, they seem fine for some casual videos. Looking forward to seeing what else Canon comes out with!

This is an awesome hybrid camera. The autofocus is next level from the R and RP. The tracking and eye detect for people and animals is something experience. The usable low light is amazing especially in video. The new firmeware has helped with the overheating issue. I so far have not had the overheating warning show yet for how I use the camera. If you're doing long interviews, I would get an external recorder or shoot in 1080p. Even though the video compression is IPB, I'm able to push more with the R6 than R with all-i. Picture quality wise compared to the EOS R, it would be tough to distinguish and do see some difference once you crop in like 200% or more. If you need the high megapixels for cropping or very detail shots or billboard sized pictures then I would go with the EOS R or something with more megapixels.

Beautiful camera. I have nothing to say, but keep in mind that the IBIS trembles audibly inside when the camera is off. It’s not a problem, but it was worrying after taking it out of the box. The only disadvantage that I can think of is that when the animals autofocus is used (that’s when I realized it) on a bird, it was randomly focused on the background at the last moment when taking a photo, despite the fact that with the servo autofocus you were actively focusing on it before taking the photo. It’s not a big problem for me, but it could still cost you an opportunity. I have also heard other reviewers mention that. Apart from that, it’s quite incredible.

The Canon R6 is in outstanding camera with so many features and being mirror-less this camera is very fast and meets all expectations that Cano has to offer. With the new RS lenes and also the compatiabilty of using the EF lenes this camera out does really any camera in its price range. Great for portraits and also has the high spoed for sports and alo can b in really low light. Great camera so far

I love it. The 4k video on this camera is phenomenal. There are a lot of so so reviews on this camera online and I just consider them clickbait. The one feature I have found to be indispensable is the button layout during video capture. You can adjust aperture, shutter speed, and ISO all with the physical dials quickly. On the EOS R almost everything was in the menu and it was a real hassle to quickly adjust settings. On this camera it's a breeze.

I am a live music/concert photographer and I am so impressed with the capabilities of this camera. It gives me the ability to capture super sharp images in extreme low light conditions. I have a Canon 6D Mark II that I use as well (I have a dual camera harness) and I plan on upgrading that to a R6 as well because I love it so much!

I absolutely love this camera, I use it for everything now. I don’t touch my 5d mark3 anymore. The auto eye focus for portraits is game changing. I can’t say enough great things about this camera. Also with for the videos dudes, you now get Canon Log 3 with the latest update. Get this camera if you make money from it or now. The moments you will capture will amazing. Bruh, I have 11 year old EF lenses that feel brand new with the adapter (sold separately).

Switched from the 6D to this camera, I was on the fence for a while. Somehow managed to score one and I am so happy with this camera. The auto eye focus itself is a game changer. The image quality is truly remarkable. Easily could be a pro camera for the experienced photographers out there. I was worried about the 20MP , but upon much research and actually using this camera. It is ENOUGH. trust me. Digit X processor. Same as the 1DX mark iii. Such a great camera. Great investment!

Powerful camera & major upgrade from RP, 90D & M5/M6 mark ii. Autofocus is quick & accurate, extremely impressive iso performance unlike anything I’ve used in previous models. Perfect with RF 35, makes the 24-105 f7.1 kit lens quite useable, EF 16-35 F4, & stellar with EF 100-400 mini. Definitely the best camera & superb investment for me, & excellent choice for any hobbyists or enthusiasts

The R6 is a well rounded camera for hybrid shooters like myself. The RF L-series lenses are a bit pricey, but are incredibly sharp. The autofocus was a big draw for me and really met my expectations for a body in this price range. If you’re making the switch from DSLR into full frame mirrorless and don’t want to drop the hearty price for a R5 this is the way to go.
