This camera works great and takes excellent pictures. The only downside Ive come across is that there are a lot of options on the camera to figure out. Thats not necessarily a downside there is just some learning to do before you can be completely confident with all the options

I was looking for my first DSLR camera and was I deciding between this one and the Nikon D3100 . After reading all the reviews and talking with the people at best buy. I went for this one and I am glad I did. Takes great pics and is very easy to use couldn’t be happier. For a fist time DSLR user i found it extremely easy to setup and use. I was setup and taking pictures within minutes and that's without reading any instructions. However I do suggest reading the provided material as it is truly informative and certainly an in depth guide to all the cool features the t3i have to offer. I've been promising myself for the past 4 years to purchase a DSLR camera but never did. Finally I treated myself for Christmas. Had a hard time choosing between this camera and a nikon but in the end choose the cannon t3i.it is a great camera and takes excellent pictures. Particularly love the ease of use.

In my opinion, the T3i is loads better than the T5i and since the T3i has been discontinued by Canon, it's getting harder and harder to find (especially at a good discount). As such, I was beyond thrilled to see the T3i included in Best Buy's black Friday promotion. So far, I'm very pleased with my purchase. The quality and clarity of the photos is fantastic. Nice lens and clean body. Compared to my older Canon DSLR this thing is so light - it's really nice. I haven't yet tried out the HD video functions but it's just an added bonus. Definitely recommend this model - a great purchase!

It took me a lot of researching and testing to find the camera that I wanted. I got this on a black friday special and it's great. I have a lot to learn about photography, but the pictures are amazing. Even on Auto/Creative Auto. Beautiful pictures.

I'm new to photography and I'm loving this camera! It's easy to use--I can understand the manual and the buttons without the manual. I'm still learning all the settings but am taking great pictures even without a lot of knowledge. I have small hands and am small myself so lighter weight would have been nice but the lighter cameras didn't have the features I like (like the fold out viewfinder) . This might be due to my inexperience, but I wonder why all the buttons are on the side you mostly hold--it would seem less awkward to me if they were on the opposite one, Practice will probably fix this.

This camera has been a great purchase. Easy to use with the help of the straight forward instructions. Battery life seems to last forever although I have yet to use the camera for videos. In my first month I have taken over 1500 pictures as it is fun to test the settings for alternative looks. I guess my only complaint, if any, about the camera is that in this day in age I should be able to connect this to wifi or bluetooth to seemless download/share my pictures. There is still a disconnect between taking the pictures and actually doing something with them. Otherwise, highly recommend!

I bought this camera as a secondary camera for film-style video shoots and it has performed much better than anticipated so far. That being said, I can see a difference between it and shooting with the 6D, but the Rebel still delivers a decent depth of field and quality HD video at a VERY affordable price. In fact, I am encouraging many of the young people to start with this camera and work their way up to the others, b/c the difference is one that is shown best in experienced hands. Thereby, if you are not experienced, an better camera will not make you a better photographer.

This camera is so awesome! I don't regret buying it. Battery life is good, quality is good. However, if you want to view the full HD videos on your computer, you need a converter, or otherwise they will come out choppy even if you have the right memory card for HD. Other than that, it's a really good camera, if you want to get more creative, you need to learn all the settings from the manual.

For the last several years I used a Panasonic Lumix with a Leica lens. It served well, however, I needed something with a bit more flexibility and after a bit of research I settled on the T3i. Now I have a much better range of settings that I can use to take pictures. The quality of the pictures is very good and it allows me to do some playful things with the much better range of settings. The camera is light and is very easy to transport. It switches on quickly and is ready to take pictures right away. Of course, now I have to change lenses which is a bit cumbersome, but it is worth the trade off. I would highly recommend this camera for anyone that is looking for something that is better than simply point and shoot. I'm very happy with the performance and quality. With the camera, I also purchased the 55-250mm lens and UV filters for both lenses, a new camera bag, and a new SD card. Soon after we took a trip to Europe and took some fantastic pictures, pictures that I would not have been able to take had I not had my T3i.

    First DSLR

This was my first (well actually second) DSLR. The first was a Canon T3 that we returned shortly after purchasing because the video that the T3 took was jumpy during playback. The T3i has much better video that is very smooth when played back and the picture quality of the T3i is amazing. As a first time DSLR user it took a little time to get used to having so many features, however the instructions are very helpful and just playing around with the camera over a few days helped me to become more comfortable with the camera. Also, the preset modes make it really easy to take high quality photos. I am still not sure why this camera has such a high price point, but hopefully it will last a long time and be worth the money that we invested in this by capturing a nice collection of family memories.

I have a 5D Mark iii and a 5D Mark ii. The T3i has colors and features that are comparable for the price. Stills and video are very useable Build quality is plastic and not water sealed. Overall a good camera to start with.

This camera is amazing. As a beginner to world of photography, this camera has been wonderful. It is easy to begin taking great shots right out the box with auto settings while I have been able to learn more about all of the manual options. It has a great broad of capabilities. I truly love it!!! With small kids always on the move, I have been able to get some amazing shots of them. My only complaint is that I did not get this camera sooner!!! Our Best Buy salesman was very helpful when we were purchasing this item.

I've used Canon products at work in the past but decided to pick up the EOS Rebel T3i in order to have a nice DSLR for personal use. I mainly use it for basic family photography but also traveling and athletic events. I'm super impressed with the quality of this camera for the price. I've only been using it for a few weeks, but my first use was for a 4-day bike tour where I took more than 1000 pictures. By the 2nd hour of the first day I was already shooting in Manual mode and very pleased with how everything turned out.

I love this camera its worked well for me and it came fast in the mail which was nice. The only thing wrong is that recently the flash has been getting stuck, which is kind of frustrating. I also got the camera case and 16 GB card with the camera and I haven't haven't had any problems with those, the case is really high quality.
