This specific kit is for the EOS Rebel line of Cannon Cameras as it includes the CA-PS700 power adapter and will not work for the EOS 50 Mark II. The correct adapter will be CA-PS700A, verifiable on the cannon website. Other than the above it is a great value as individually purchasing the items included will be more expensive. So to be returned and to find the correct one it is.

The eos webcam software doesn’t work well. Unfortunately I have a 1 year old MacBook Pro and cannot use the camera as a webcam because the software is not compatible

It works! It's basically just plug (download and install software) and play. It wasn't very hard to figure out and it works great!
