I had extreme difficulty getting this printer to connect to my network. It took approximately 3 hours for this printer to install. The Canon connector app was absolutely useless. I ended up having to manually configure the connection, then by a stroke of luck it connected. Once the printer finally connected to my network it took another 2 hours to configure the scanner so it wouldn't randomly rotate my scanned pages. This printer constantly loses connection to my network, which requires powering the printer down, then restarting and hoping it connects. I contemplated returning this unit, but after the significant time investment to install, I couldn't bring myself to box it back up and drive it to the store.
The saving grace to this unit is that the print quality is superb and the print speed is by far the best I've seen. This printer also consumes very little ink, which is a big bonus.
Pros:
Excellent print quality
Excellent scan quality
Fast print
Fast boot time
Low Ink consumption
Quite operation
Large paper tray (x2)
Cons:
Extremely difficult setup.
Useless and buggy app.
Difficult Configuration apps.
ADF does not support two-sided scans.

I needed to replace my PIXMA All in One, so I looked at other Canon's since I the previous one for a long time and it served me well. The Maxify is an excellent printer, the Fax works well, I haven't gotten the knack of the instant print, but it prints large jobs quickly. This is probably more printer than I need, but the price was good and it has all of the features I want. Good for small offices- if you're looking for that. Only downfall is that I need to turn on and off the printer instead of it shutting down with the computer.

Excellent Printer, Great Text, Good Graphics

This is my third Canon Printer. I really like their line. I have a Pro-100 for photography and use this for everyday text and graphics. It is fast and fairly quiet. The text looks great, almost laser like. The graphics are sharp and clear, but not photographic. I got it because it works wirelessly in my home. Both my wife and I have laptops, and now send our items to be printed without having to run into the other room and plug it in.
Installation was straightforward, except for the scanner. The docs all say it can scan at up to 1200 by 1200, but the software they supply seems to max out at 600 by 600. I emailed tech support, and after several exchanges was told I could ignore the pull down menu choices and just type in 1200. It worked. To bad the docs don't say that anywhere.
I also like having 2 paper trays. I can now keep envelopes in one tray and regular paper in the other.
If you are fitting it into a small space, be aware that the paper trays are not flush with the front of the machine. When you add paper, the trays stick out about 3 inches. I don't mind, because the output tray sticks out even further and covers the trays, but it is a little deceiving when you look at the picture on the box.

Overall it appears to be a pretty solid printer. Setup was quick and easy, though the paper trays are a little unusual in how the tray physically extends to accommodate different paper sizes. Along the same lines, you can only put a limited type of paper in the bottom tray (according to the settings available) but can put a myriad of different paper in the top tray. Not sure why the bottom tray can't specify the same range of papers. The only other annoyance is that, by default, it's power saving settings are set to turn itself off (not sleep). So if you don't change the option, you'd often either a) not be able to connect to the printer or b) have to walk across the office to turn it back on.

My old HP combo printer died after about 10 years. I was sick of constantly replacing ink in that HP printer. When buying a new printer, I looked to other brands like Brother, Epson, and Canon. In the end after reviews from friends, I just on the Canon. This is a very full featured printer. It has extra large in containers, so hopefully I won't be changing ink as much. It is very fast printing and quality is very good. Scanning quality is excellent. The photo printing on plain paper is just so/so, but is much better on photo paper. Overall, I'm very pleased with this printer.

I would absolutely recommend this printer to anyone who, like myself, is constantly printing things. The quality is excellent, it is easy to set up and run, as well as being great with scanning documents right to my computer. Easy to use from any of my devices. Wish I had bought it sooner.

This printer is a great addition to our home workspace. It is fast, quiet, and very affordable (caught a good sale with my Best Buy deal of the day emails!). The ink cartridges are also quite affordable and last a long time (I don't print much at home but these have lasted longer than any other brand I've had).
My only issue is that wifi is very spotty. That could be my lack of tech savviness, but I can get it to print wirelessly and the next day it won't work. I've asked for support from Canon a few times but no luck. I've been told it's my virus protection software but I doubt it.
Other than that, it's a great machine for home use. Highly recommended.

Bought this printer to replace my old Canon Pixma. The size is larger than I expected. The print quality is good but the feature I like the most is the quiet mode. It is very quiet! The scan and copy functions are good. The only thing is the front loading paper trays. You cannot push it all the way in like some other models so the papers will expose. Not a big deal for people who print often but it will collect duct for some casual users.

Does everything I need, and the price was incredible. Like the reviews said, the 4 ink cartridges (rather than 2, black and tri-color) help me keep my ink costs under control.

I'm not a big fan of inkjet printers, laser printers are much faster and sharper. This printer seems to take forever to get the first print out but after that it is quite fast. Overall I do like it but I will always prefer laser

I am back in school and have lots to print. My old Canon was too slow and printed 2-sided manually. This Canon is quick and does 2 sided automatically. Ink has lasted a good while. Only one minor draw back the printer can be noisy when printing 2 -sided. The "quiet setting" slows down the unit so I don't use it unless it's late at night.

Canon Maxify MB2720 is a great little machine. It prints well and is great for scanning with the plug for the flash drive in the front and easily accessible. It also communicates wirelessly. The biggest drawback for me in the size of the machine. Other 4 in 1 machines are much smaller. The potential purchaser can look at the size at Best Buy to see if that is or is not an issue for them.

I have been very pleased with the Canon Maxify MB2720 Wireless All-In-One Printer. I had read a couple of reviews about the setup being difficult, but I had no problems at all. It paired well with our iMac, iPad, and iPhones.

I need a printer that just works every time and gets the job done quickly. i'm happy to say this printer has met those requirements. I love that, between the two trays, it holds a whole ream of paper. i'm not sure yet how much ink it will go through before replacement. The ink is not cheap but I bought the XL version. We will see how long it lasts. Set up was easy, the only problem I've had is, I have to go over to the printer and turn it on before I select print from a wireless device or else it does not receive the signal. The printer is huge but it does hold a whole ream of paper. All in all, best printer I have had!

Excellent low volume Multi Function Devise

I primarily purchased the MB2720 to start scanning all my documents and essentially going "paperless" with my home files. This has worked very well for the low volume of scanning I have done so far, and as a bonus for me, it prints color photos with very good results as well as color documents. When I start back-scanning (scanning boxes of archived paperwork) I will let you know how efficient it is. It would be nice to have some inexpensive document management software available to scan directly from the device and have it routed to the final destination file on your computer. Presently, I have to scan to a desktop folder and then file the documents into their final destination folder one at a time...Slow, but it works very well. If anyone knows of some inexpensive "document management" software for home use, let me know.
Another facet of this printer I like is, if it runs out of one color, you can still print in black. I still have not had the Printer/Copier/Scanner long enough to know the mileage from the ink, so I'm hoping it does not cost big bucks to keep printing!
I highly recommend this printer for the home office or a small office with a few people. It appears to be well built and easy to operate!

To support your home or small office needs this Multi-Functional devise does a very good job. I bought it more for the scanning capabilities, to go "paperless" with all my personal documents. It would have been nice to have included document management software on a rudimentary level, even if it cost a little more. I am going to call Canon and see what they recommend to accomplish my intentions. All-in-all...a very good printer for the price and I recommend this highly!
