The amount of ink in the XL (extra large) cartridge provides greater value and provides an environmentally better solution for your Canon ink requirements. XL is a must especially for black ink.
Canon ink also is better as it does not run, immediately after printing.
Best Buy provides great on line service, delivery is extremely quick. Returns to a brick and mortar store is easy with no hassles.

The Canon 1200 XL is a common item purchased within my household, due to the fact we have three high school students. They go through these ink cartridges frequently, due to school projects and each cartridge I purchase provides a high quality print. Years later, I am still purchasing this item and that's a testament to the product.

There are choices when purchasing ink - should you get the original ink or a refill cartridge? If what you will be printing is to be used for a presentation, or you are job hunting and need to have a resume that looks professional, then the original ink is the only way to go. I have found that with the original ink, printed documents are crisp where as with generic ink, the documents looked washed out.

It is a hassle to be constantly changing cartridges and ink is wasted by the priming of even a single unit. The XL designation means it has more capacity and is capable of printing more pages before requiring a cartridge replacement. Because of problems with non-Canon ink refills or cheaper brands, experience has taught me to always use the printer manufacturer brand.

This ink is more expensive than the aftermarket inks, but the aftermarket black ink, and I have tried several different brands, always seem to clog my printer heads. Canon inks are more expensive but just work better. I wish they weren't overpriced, but they are.

I like the Canon XL ink, because it lasts so much longer plus it is a better value. It is a great choice, especially for the colors that are used the most (i.e. black).
