This is a great setup of ink. Prints plenty of documents. With XL it prints almost twice as many pages as normal cartridge.

XL ink cartridge is great because it's loaded with much more black ink, lasts much longer than the standard cartridge! I print almost exclusively documents so this is awesome!

After purchasing ink off the internet, I learned that it pays to buy the original ink from Canon. My printing projects have never looked so good.

If you always print black and hardly color then, the XL black cartridge is the purchase you need to make. I know it's a little under $30 but, and it may feel much. This lasted me a quarter of a year since I am not an advid printing person.

We actually have two Maxify copier/printer/scanner/fax machines for our business. Both work great and the ink cartridges are always great quality.

Its ink, it works, packed good. Keep the bag tonput your old cartridge in in case it leaks.

black ink is expensive, but this seems to last long enough for the price.

A higher capacity take for the Canon Maxify 1200 all-in-one printer. The whole family gets a lot of use out of this network printer. I don't use it for photo printing, but, for "basic" photos, does a nice job.

I would recommend buying the larger cartridge because it lasts a lot longer not necessarily because it is much cheaper. But it works well in the printer

Why WOULDN'T you buy XL! Per print, it's cheaper and it lasts longer, not to mention it's a Canon product! You can't go wrong!

Got a new canon printer and purchased the high yield tank and we need to print a lot of pages. This cartridge definitely works well and prints a lot of pages.

Cartridges slip right into tray with no problem. Have used after market brands in past with very poor results. I stick to canon now.
