If you own a canon printer that requires this type of ink then you already know how good it is. I have had 3 canon printers and this last model is by far the best one I have ever owned. It has yet to fail me in the last 6 years and always does a good job. I usually buy the XL ink so that I do not have to replace it as often. One cartridge usually last me about 3 months. It always meets my expectations. I will continue to purchase canon products.

I had to purchase XL ink in addition to regular slim size ink cartridge for the printer to print. Otherwise the printer showed "Out of ink" message and did not print. I believe it is a manufacture's tactic for consumers to spend more $ on ink cartridges. I chose genuine ink because I did not feel like wasting time trying to add ink to an old cartridge then printed copies would not be acceptable. It is a bit costly, but for me its worth it.

I use these ink cartridges for my personal printer which gets a LOT of use between myself and our 5 kids. I was so impressed with the print quality of our previous Canon printer that after it finally stopped working (after about 8 years!) I wouldn't look at any other brand for photo purposes. I've owned HP, Brother, Canon and also have an Epson for my home office. A Canon printer paired with genuine Canon ink has always provided me with the most beautiful, accurate colors for photos and images.

ink is a great purchase. It seems to last a reasonable long amout of time. Printing is clear and doesn't smudge. Easily pops in and out of my computer. Easy to use.
