Customers have good things to say about the PIXMA MX922's print quality, ease of use, and wireless functionality. Many appreciate its convenient fax capabilities and straightforward setup process. However, some users noted that the printer can be noisy and that the paper tray could be improved. A few also mentioned occasional issues with reliability and slow warm-up times.

First time buyer of a Canon product

I have about 13 plus years experience with home computers and in that time frame my family would only purchase Hewlett Packard products i.e PC , scanner ,printer etc. We have never actually thought about any other brand until this point, because we had issues with two HP printers back to back. So of course we thought to look at other options in regards to printer products. When we were looking online we really didn't have any clue on what brand to choose. First we were just solely looking at price range, but to the help of the reviews by other Best Buy customers it really helped choose a brand and model. That is the reason for the purchase of the Canon Pixma. When it first arrived and was taken out of the box, I was shocked to see how bulky the printer was, but as soon as I finished reading the instruction manual the shock was soon over and I enjoyed the overall dimensions of this Canon Pixma printer. Installation was overall an easy set up as long as you keep to the steps written in the setup guide . I honestly wanted to just jump in and "plug and play" as they say , but I am glad I didn't because the setup really needs to be followed accordingly. Once we finished with the setup and printed our first "practice" sheet, it was amazing how professional it felt compared to the Hewlett Packard printers we have purchased in the past. That is the reason for the excellent rating overall, because due to my experience with probably 5 Hewlett Packard printers I would say this Canon Pixma has been the best experience to date. Thank you for taking a moment and reading this review, really hope it helps you choose which printer to purchase. Just like the reviews helped us :)

This printer works great. I like the fact that it's wireless,no USB cable needed. I have printed several items with it and no problems with it printing them off. The only con is the set up disc is for all Windows operating systems, except Windows 10,which is what I have. You can download a driver from Canon to use it on that system, which I did. the set up was easy and not hard if you take your time and read the quick set up manual before starting. I did that and went on line for more assistance ( ie: video). You can't go wrong with this printer to meet your printing needs. I love it :)

This is my 3rd printer and it is by far the best printer I've owned. It was very easy to setup & use, the print quality is excellent & it has great features (I love the wireless & 2-sided printing)! I'm really pleased with my purchase!

I was concerned about purchasing a printer that printed great materials and connected to our iPhones, Ipad and computer. This printer is an excellent printer, completes all tasks as I need and connected with all our our equipment without a problem. Very easy to set up. I would recommend it.

I have been a loyal HP printer owner for several years now, but after my last printer started sucking up ink as fast as I could put it in I was frustrated. I put $70 of new ink in the HP after trying to clean out the print heads and it still wouldn't work properly. I decided to look at another brand and the salesman at Best buy told me he had this printer and was very happy with it. I have set it up and already am a fan. It is big, but it looks nice sitting on my desk. I like how easy it was to set up and how easy it is to use. I was having issues with wireless printing sometimes with my old printer, but so far this one has worked everytime flawlessly. The price was very low when on sale and the ink is a little expensive but ink is expensive for any printer. I just hope this one doesn't drink ink like my HP did.

this was a great replacement for a Dell all-in-one that would not work with Windows 10! This was so easy to set up by following the step-by-step instructions. The wi-fi works amazing and connects so well to all my computers. Prints great photos and with it having two trays it's always ready to print either.

I purchased this printer due to the history of Canon's excellent performance and also based on reviews. I am what you may call "technologically challenged" and this was a breeze to set up. It's compatible with my computer system and my desk top communicated with it right away. Also I was able to set it up via Wifi without issue. This is huge to me as I needed a printer right away and I was able to get through the process without a hitch. The prints come out very clear and the colors are great. I also like that it has a double black ink cartridge set up. One for my color prints/ copies and one for just black and white copies. There are quite a few settings for paper and envelope sizes which is a plus. All in all, I believe this will suit my needs quite nicely and I won't have a need to upgrade soon. I'm very happy with it.

My previous setup was a Hp printer and canoscan 8400f scanner. I am keeping the 8400f as it can scan film and slides and that's the main reason I bought that. Making copies with a separate scanner printer is a pain. Not being able to print with the computer turned off from my tablet or phone another pain. I take a lot of lanscape and wildlife pictures with my Canon Eos 40D, so being able to print decent pictures is important to me. With the Canon Mx922 these problems are gone. With the easy connection to my wifi network, I can print from my tablet or smartphone with only having the printer on. It turns on and off fast. I like the idea of having separate ink tanks for all the colors. My old hp did not have that feature. I really like the double sided printing feature, wished I had it years ago. As well easy copying. I have had it about a month and use it daily and still have plenty of ink. Thant includes printing some pictures. Even so, at the time I bought the printer I bought spare ink cartridges.

I love that I can print from my ipad or phone. I also use it for scanning and being able to beam the document to my laptop without wires is great. The only downside would be the speed. It's not horrible but it can take about 30 or 40 seconds to start printing. But considering you are printing wireless and it has to wake from sleep mode I probably shouldn't complain. It seems reliable but I only used it for three months and with heavy usage. I bought the warranty so if anything does happen I should be covered. Overall it a good purchase and hopefully this is the last printer I will have to buy for a long time or until 3d printing is realeased:)

My hp printer I had for 7 years suddenly died on me in the middle of a project where I had to print onto DVD surfaces. Unfortunately, this meant I had to find a printer ASAP and didn't have much time to look around.
In looking for a printer that could print on DVD surfaces this was one of the relatively few models out there. It looked to be a very good printer, Canon is a good brand, so I decided to give it a shot.
I bought the printer first thing the next morning and once I had everything set up was printing DVDs with ease.
There was a slight learning curve with the new software that was to be expected.
I have since also used the normal printing, copying, and scanning functions that have all worked beautifully. The scanning worked much easier than on my previous printer too.
After 7 years of having to plug in my computer to my printer, having wireless printing is so wonderful and convenient and having double sided printing is also a great plus.
Overall, this is a great multi-function printer.

I purchased this printer for myself and was so happy with it, purchased the same for each of my daughters. I have an HP wide carriage printer and also an Epson 3880 wide pro printer for large output. This printer gives equal or greater quality to my Epson 3880. You have to experiment with paper and settings a bit, but I can send a print request directly from my iPhone and it knows to print a 4x6 glossy from the middle tray automatically. If I then want to print a word doc from my phone it will send it to the bottom tray without me resetting the print dialog on the phone. Same for printing from my Macs. Also great all in one features.

This was what I settled on when my Pixma 5320 died on me after three years and I was able to select another model of any make. At first I had a few qualms about reviews that said the 922 would be noisy or slow, but decided this was the best choice from those available - including Brothers and Epsons - at the store. (And no way was I going to go back to HP, a bad choice in my distant past.) In retrospect, I'm very happy I chose this Canon model. For the most part, printing is fairly prompt, and the whole unit is generally quiet, the bottom paper tray (which I use most often) has been easier to open than on my previous model, and scanning is simpler. (Haven't used the fax option yet.)

This was a replacement for an older Canon printer that finally wore out. This printer is quieter and the printing is sharper than our old one. It prints great 6 x 9 photos too. I like the individual ink tanks which save me money on ink overall. The wireless feature was easy to set up and I can even print from my phone if I want to.

I've gone through a lot of printers in the past 30 years or so and the Canon MX922 may be the best of the lot, especially with the ability to wirelessly print to it from any computer or other device I have.
Text is clean and crisp, colors are bright, photo reproduction is as good as I've seen on any printer not specifically dedicated to photos.
My only complaint is copying two-sided documents using the feeder on top of the printer. I may simply be doing something wrong, but I've never been able to get it to do that properly. It also does not always collate multi-page documents as it should.
But, overall -- and for most of my printing needs -- it is top of the line.

This is my second printer. First one lasted three years..photos ,reports and copies are high quality, scanning works well but could be a bit more auto detect (too many adjustments, prefer auto detect). Printer accepts high volume printer ink cartridges. Works with all my wireless home computers. Easy set up. For the sale price when available, can't beat the value. Highly recommended.

I purchased this to replace anMX870 Canon Printer that had lost the AC Power converter during a power failure. I've had very good luck with the Canon MX series printer and this one follows that success rate. The prints are clear and have even better color than the MX870. It is a noisier (that took it from a 5 to a 4 rating) than the old one and takes a little longer to initialize. I like having the input for smaller photo paper in the front and not having to go around to the rear of the printer.

Prints very nice, color and B&W, prints pretty fast. Love that it's wireless and I can print from anywhere in the house and even prints from my phone. Scanning is easy and the recipient says the quality is great. Only issue is paper tray is on the bottom and I have to lift the printer to add paper, in the process the extended arm broke where the printed pages come out and it won't close anymore, but that is minor to me as the printer is not in a high traffic area.

This is exactly what we where looking for. We love the upgraded paper trays. Holds more paper and allows you to use more variety in paper choices (like envelope printing, YES)!!! It has choices now in the size ink tanks you use. XL and XXL. It also has the other features that we loved in the last model. Wireless printing from all our devices, copy, scan, and fax. Not to mention we paid an awesome price to boot!!! Thank you Canon and Best Buy for an awesome buy and a great printer!!!!

I replaced a Lexmark which simply stopped working on my wi-fi. This was the perfect choice. It prints from various sources, it scans, it copies and it has a fax. It's fairly quick and it looks good, as well.

This is a good printer. It is fast and quiet. I have had several other printers and they were very noisy and paper feeder did not work and paper would get clogged. The only reason I did not give this a 5 is because it sometimes takes a while to get started. After it does it little song and dance to startup it works flawlessly. I usually end up printing late, late at night and having a silent printer is a big plus. My old one went clackety clack waking everyone up. My old one had a cable, so to print I had to open our cabinet and run the cable to my hub and then print. This one is wireless, so I just turn it on and print. Nice. It is fast too! It has a huge paper tray so I do not have to keep stopping to refill it. I have to make copies of various documents every now and then and with this sheet feeder it makes it a snap. The price was very good too. Did I mention that it was quiet, and fast? The other negative for this printer is that it has no flash memory card slots. You can print straight from your smart phone wirelessly and from your computer so that should be OK tradeoff. If you can live without the flash memory slots then this will be OK for you.
