The printer works well and does what it’s supposed to once it’s up and running. Print quality is solid for everyday home use, and setup was fairly straightforward. That said, the first unit started acting up about a week in, so we had to replace it. The replacement has been working fine so far, but the early issue was frustrating and is the reason for the average rating. Overall, it’s decent for basic printing, but reliability is something to keep in mind.

It’s compact and easy to use. I can print from my phone! So convenient for a busy person like me. I trust Cannon quality and it was not expensive, either.

Although the mfr. would like this to be an easy straight-out-of-the-box set up, it turned out to be an afternoon downloading vital utilities over and over, and finally a long session with a very very competent Canon rep on the phone. I was so overjoyed when it finally worked, I went out and celebrated with a takeout dinner. Anyway, it seems like a nice device and I understand the print quality is great. I hope Canon can streamline the setup process, although they seem to be on the right track, No extensive printed manual is included, so I had to ask the Google AI robot where the switch was to turn it off. It has a nifty top feeder unit, which I intend to figure out how to use. There is a long detailed manual you can download from the Canon site. The Best Buy rep recommended it because it's compatible with my Imac, is smaller in size than other models, and that it's suitable for low volume printing. Anyway, this may sound like a "Besides that Mrs. Lincoln, how'd you like the play?" kind of review, I'm not sure I would recommend it to someone without a lot of patience or a little technical savvy. By the way, delivery by Best Buy was great!

Great little printer! I bought it to print book drafts and it can easily print a few hundred pages double sided in a short amount of time. The compact size and slick design also means its not an eye sore in the house. Definitely recommend if you're looking for a simple, but effective printer!

This printer works fairly well and easy to use. As a printer, it works well. The print is nice and clear. When I use the feed tray, I can always see a partial faint line at the top where the page ends. When I use the scanning bed and align everything as it should be, there is always a full line along one side. I have repositioned the paper several times and there is always a line.

I purchased this printer because my old one had been discontinued and I could not get Windows 11 to recognize it. It was easy to set up. I used my USB cable from the old printer, and the power cord that came with it. All I really want to use it for is printing. But it has a scan & copy functions. There is also a fax function (phone line cable included), but I have not yet figured it out. The printer is a little noisy, but the print quality is good.

Its a good printer for the price. I had Canon PIXMA earlier but a diferent one, so was surprised to find that this one does not have a paper holding tray. However, my printing needs are very minimal at this point, so I can live without a tray, but when I do have to change, I will ensure that the next one does have a tray. Missed returning this one back in time, so have to live with it now. Makes me wonder why Canon would take the tray away considering the previous two Canon printers that I purchased did have it.

All my printers that I purchased in the past have been clunky and hard to set up. This one was practically plug and play. Not to mention all the features it has are an amazing value.
