We bought this printer mainly to print photos. We have a Canon T6i camera and we just wanted to be able to print some photos without the need to go to a Walgreen or Walmart to get our prints. At first we were skeptic about how good the pictures were going to look. Best buy and many other places only have printers for display and most of them they are out of ink and you can't print a demo of a picture. We have a 6 year old HP all in one printer that was pretty expensive at the time but it was more for office prints...it was not advertise for photo printing that I know off...even if you use photo paper with the HP the pictures looked terrible. We decided to take the risk and try one. The picture quality of this Canon TS9120, "if you use photo paper" is very but very very close to lab quality, you may not be able to tell the difference. The downside is that it consume a lot of ink and the ink is not cheap. If you are looking for a photo quality printer you are going to be impress with this printer. You can print office documents etc. with this printer as well but picture quality is a 5+ out of 5. We also have a canon Selphy cp1300 printer but only prints in 4x6 or smaller and the 4x6 paper is not standard size because you have to cut the sides of the paper and makes it a little smaller that 4x6 prints. With the Canon TS9120 you can print up to 8.5 x11 prints and the colors of the TS9120 are a littler more vivid than with the selphy CP1300. You can print to this printer using wifi(via router or direct connection to device), Bluetooth, USB, and camera SD card. You can print from your iPhone or iPad as well. Have not test it with android devices, because I don't have android devices, but my guess is that you can. I haven't tried the other features of the printer like scanning capabilities, copy capabilities, CD/DVD labeling etc. to me those are bonuses. As I said in my review we just wanted a printer for photos. The original price for this printer is $199.99 but when I bought it it was on sale for $99.99. Great value for the price.

I purchased this unit as a replacement for one that had similar specs, but is no longer manufactured. The print and scan quality are both excellent and the speed is very reasonable for the price range. It looks nice sitting in my home office. Here are some pros and cons I have found after using the unit for a month: Pros: - print and scan quality are excellent - print and scan speed are excellent - you can start scans from the unit or from your computer - software is comprehensive and fairly intuitive to use - supports printing from my Android cell phone and tablet Cons: - scanning interface is non-standard. This means you cannot easily scan into applications like Word, PaperPort, or Photoshop. The scanner should support ISIS, TWAIN and WIA, but doesn't support any of these. - the software is extensive. Some of the programs need to be combined. - the printer ink is expensive compared to many other brands - installation is a bear. I had to install it on two Windows 10 computers and it did not install properly on one of them. I eventually got it working but, come on, this is 2018, installation should be a snap. I spent 6 hours installing the printer and the software on two Windows 10 PCs - and I'm a professional. - no manual provided. You have to download it or access it online (requires internet connection) - installation instructions need to be rewritten. They are not simple - Their website is difficult to use. Finding information about the printer on their site is very difficult unless you use the URLs provided in the instructions. You just can't get there from cannon.com. It can't be easily done. - the unit comes in three colors. Best Buy only carries black - the scanner would be much, much more useful with a sheet feeder

Okay - here goes: First and foremost, this unit prints marvelous photos! There is a color enhancer and a "photo fix" feature that really bring back the sharpness of the original (scanned) photo. I wanted to be able to make photos of different sizes and burn CD's to archive my family's photos and this machine does all that. I tried enlarging a very old, very small photo to 4"x6" and can't seem to figure that out, but I'm just learning how to use all the features. Bottom line is that this printer is VERY DIFFICULT to set up in order to use the wireless feature. The instructions given with the unit are coooooonnnnnnnfusing and not well thought out. So if you are willing to fool around with the settings etc, it'll be fine. Others have commented on the difficulty in setting the printer up for wireless use. There are QR codes everywhere that can be scanned for manuals and instructions, but I'm really old school about actually reading and following directions which has held me in good stead until now. If, and this is a big if, you are savvy about wireless tech and want to make fantastic prints from cameras, phones, etc without a computer, go for it!!! Or, do as I do and use the scan feature to recreate photos for framing, etc. It's a lot of fun!

I bought this when it was on sale cheaper than wholesale cost. It was pretty easy to setup and gives you all the nicer features like a larger touch screen over the lower models. The main reason I bought it was the photo specific ink, 2 of them! Photo blue and photo black in addition to the standard Y C M and PageBlack make this crazy good over a regular inkjet. I figured the included starter cartridges would only be good for a few demo prints and setup but 30 borderless 5x7's later and they are only a little past halfway gone, which is a terrific value as the ink set is $50 on its own. I have a separate laser B&W for office work and anticipate enjoying this a long time to come for quick prints. The phone app works great, but if the photo is too large it will make you do it from the computer. Also the included software is okay but not great, as expected. It crashed trying to print my wedding pictures that were professionally shot and huge files. The drivers worked great, though, so printing directly from the windows dialogue was fine.

Recently purchased this printer after my Konica Minolta laser printer became too much of a hassle with lack of updated support. I needed a cheap, capable printer that did not have fax (not needed by my lifestyle) and all the other additions that make printers heavy and expensive. After internet reviews and about a few hours of shopping I found this one on sale for $99 (off from $199). This printer was fast to set up, contained everything necessary and was able to link to my phones and computers in minutes. Directions are straight forward and simple. Pictures and documents print fast and clear, the sound put off is not overbearing, and options for ink cartridges are outstanding. If you purchase this take your time getting it out of the box and getting the tape off the elements, they protect it very well for shipping, you don't want to apply power with any gearing stuck by safety tape. Cheers.

This printer/scanner is worthy of 5 stars. I downgraded it because of difficulties getting started. A detailed Getting Started Manual is included. I followed the directions carefully, and successfully installed it without problems, but it still took about 2 hours. I initially had some print quality problems, and called Canon Customer Support. They talked me through a few procedures and quickly resolved my concerns. If you have any problems setting up your new printer, please call Canon Customer Support; they are excellent. Installing the printer software on my iPhone and iPad was quick and easy. Print photo quality is excellent. Scanner is silent and works well. I use Photoshop Elements which has it's own scanner software that I think works even better than the Canon software, which works fine. The Canon installation installs a lot of software that you may, or may not want. You should go through this software to determine what you want to use. Bottom line: I am very pleased with this printer; it is considerably smaller than my old Canon printer that it replaced.

Fast, crisp copies - Thin plastic construction

Wireless set-up for the Canon Pixma TS9120 Printer was relatively easy. I watched a You tube set-up video before setting mine up. Light weight, compact, fast copies/prints with clear crisp colors. Easy to read LCD screen - on thin fragile looking plastic door. The door (with the LCD panel) must be manually opened and closed in order to print and makes a grinding noise when i'm opening/closing it. Have been using the printer for personal use for almost 2 months and so far getting fast, clear print-outs of my documents and photos. Would have given it a higher rating but - the thin plastic construction and the grinding noise it makes when you open/close the door (with the LCD panel) feels like the door might break or snap apart . Getting really nice copies/prints so far. Wish Canon had used a sturdier plastic - this one make me nervous that it will easily break.

First let me say I've always had good luck with Canon printers and expected to have the same with this one. It has been nothing but trouble. I will also say I've been in IT for 30 years, even written a printer driver - so I know a thing or two about printers. Nearly every time you try to print to this printer is says "Printer Offline". Take your changes, try to print... about 25% of the time it will print. The other 75% of the time, you are tasked with trying to get it to connect and print. Turn it off and on again. Nope. Try another computer. Maybe. Reinstall drivers - yeah there goes 30 minutes of your life! Now whenever we try to print in duplex, it jams. Redeeming quality? It has a small footprint. My advice to you - buy another model.

Not Bad for a $70 Printer

I had a Canon MP980 printer but it needed it's ink absorber replaced. Canon said this model can no longer be serviced. So I purchased the Canon TS9120 on sale since it got good reviews for print/photo quality. It is not as well made as the MP980. It is also loud. If the print tray is extended for use it sits very far out, so you have to be careful not to hit it. If you leave it out the touch screen is at an awkward angle. The mechanical extension of the paper tray is just another thing to break in the future. The paper tray does not allow a quick one page slip-in of paper - you have to remove and then snap back on a cover. Print quality is okay. Am glad I can print labels from a rear tray. Guess I got spoiled by the MP980. I know it was a more expensive printer, and I had it for a number of years, but the design and quality was so much better. Haven't scanned with the TS9120 yet so I can't compare but the MP980 was pretty good and it's specs show a higher resolution. Glad I didn't pay full price for the TS9120, but I guess it will be okay.

Purchased Epson V600 Scanner after researching and comparing others, online for the most part with the exception of one relative who is knowledgeable. The scanner from start up revealed a horizontal red line on the base of all scans. Tech support at Epson suggested reinstalling software. Done. Still same Horizontal Red Line. Reported to Epson. Was advised to return to them for repairs or replacement. Wanted my credit card information to provide a shipping label and then I would have to take the time to package and find a shipping location. Not much of a hassle if it was a Vintage Leica or Hasselblad but No Way for a defective New scanner. Did not. Returned to Best Buy who took back and ordered a new one for me which I picked up. Tried the new one out briefly and no more red line. Will spend some time When I have time to make sure their are no other bugs. Bottom line: Disapointed. If the new one has ANY bugs, No more Epson.

Inexpensive Feels a bit flimsy not very solid. Took over 25 minutes to figure out an error code that came up after turning it on. Including software installation it took over 90 minutes to set up and run the first time. The CD included is only for Windows. You have to go online and locate Mac software on line , The site sure they direct you to is 17 pages of looking for your model. Better to google search with model number and Mac OS. (in this day and age most new items will have a CD that contains both). And the Best Buy staff, give them two stars. After looking at printers for 15 minutes no staff person. I went to help service desk up front. They said they would send someone over. After 15 minutes, no one came. I ran into a staff that was cutting through the area. He said he was not sent there. He did well but Best Buy work policies to help customers failed completely.

Most useless plastic box ever. NOT easy to set up. Does not work easily with desktop computer. Practically impossible with Chromebook. Have you ever had two teenagers crying because they can't get their homework printed? To print from a Chromebook you literally have to log into your google account on the printer touch screen, and navigate painfully through 50 tiny screens of unwanted files until you find the one file that you want to print, and click it from there. And don't put this on a high shelf, or you won't be able to use this display at all. It has to be fully opened to work. The only device that I have successfully interfaced with any ease is a newer Dell laptop. Also, don't bother with the Easy Replenish program. They will run you around between Best Buy and Canon, each one telling you that you have to go to the other one's website to finish setting it up. I've wasted MANY irretrievable HOURS of my life on this purchase. If you can finally get it to print, yes it looks pretty nice.

This printer prints great quality but is awful. I had it less than 2 months and it's so finicky. I can print something through wifi and then 2 seconds later try and print another document and it will say the printer is no longer connected. It will stop half way through printing and take a break and then resume printing the page about 5 minutes later... very slowly. Then my favorite thing it does is tell me I don't have and paper in the rear tray... when I have a stack of paper loaded into the tray. I only had it 2 months and I have to just get a new printer. Of course it's out of the return period and I even tried to call Canon to get help. They just gave me excuses and tried to blame it on everything but the actual printer. Yes the ink is expensive and it runs out fast. This is my last Canon printer since they print great quality but some aspect of them always breaks and their warranty means nothing.

I bought a media tower that's somewhat narrow at around 16 inches internal width. Most printers for sale are very wide like the HP envy 4500 series I used to use. I also have my router on top of the media tower and wanted to wire the printer directly to the network in lieu of using the wireless function. This was the only printer I could find that was compact enough and also had Ethernet as well as wireless. I gave it only 4 stars because it does seem a little slow printing as well as initializing when starting up. The ink could also be costly with 5 or 6 separate cartridges. I will probably need to look out for sales or some other discount plan. From the limited use so far, it seems to print nicely. The paper tray underneath extends when printing and retracts when shutting down which is different. There is also a paper feeder on the backside which I haven't used yet. Price was great at 59.99 on sale.

Let me start off by saying that this is the best printer for the price. I bought this printer with very low expectations and print quality. But after running the setup I printed a photo from my phone and I was shocked by the quality 5/5 star. The people complaining about the ink running out do some reading before ripping all stickers off every ink cartridge clearly says setup ink only!!!! looking at the prices of being I don't think $62 for the XL cartridge is expensive. Five stars on how compact the printer is a perfectly fit on a desk that I bought on Amazon. I think the touchscreen is very responsive.

Great Canon color printer. My older Epson printer was gigantic, and this Canon is 1/3 the size. This will fit very well in a small space. It's been performing very well so far. It prints documents and photo's with high quality. The quality of the photo paper makes a difference as well. The only negative is that this printer uses 6 ink cartridges. Including a blue colored ink, and it seems to be more difficult to find than the other's. They don't include it in the 5 pack that includes the XL Black. (only the small 5 pack w/o xl black) and Best Buy only sells the XL blue in store. Most stores do not carry the small blue. Canon needs to make a 6 pack that includes all of the colors for this printer. Other than that it's a great printer.

I can't believe I gave up an Epson for this. Never again. I purchased this because it has the capability to print on CD/DVD. Unfortunately, Canon's proprietary software is useless for designing labels--so one has to spend more money to purchase third-party software. Second problem--the wi-fi adapter in the printer is useless. It only works intermittently. Third problem--Half the time the printer won't accept print commands without being turned off and turned back on. Unfortunately, this is past the thirty-day time period where I can return it to the store for a refund. But I will never again purchase a Canon printer. The only thing they are good for is for use as a sledge hammer target. I would not only NOT recommend a Canon printer to a friend--I wouldn't even recommend them to my worst enemy.

Picked up this printer at a great sale price of $69.99. This printer replaces an old dinosaur Canon PIXMA MX882 MFP. The TS9120 is so much more compact than the old MX882. Print & scan quality is much improved. The large touchscreen LCD makes choosing functions very easy. You can use the Canon Print app to print from your mobile device. And if you link the TS9120 to the Google Cloud Print service, you can print from anywhere to the printer. Bonus for me is the integrated CD/DVD tray for printing directly onto the media. Only thing really missing is the auto document feeder, but only necessary if you do a lot of scanning (which I don't). And the ink cartridges that come with the printer are starters, so you'll have to go out and buy some soon. If you can still find it at the sale price, buy it you'll like it.

I bought this printer and let’s just say, it was an inexpensive way to go. It was easy to set up and link to my phone. I love being able to print from my phone simple by pushing a button. However, this unit turns off after a period of inactivity, which frustrates me. I can’t tell you how many times I go to get something I’ve printed only to find the machine had turned off. Also I don’t like how the front part of the machine opens up and the tray holding your copy come out. This is loud and it sounds like your printer is going to break! I think it’s is unnessary and it’s a moving piece that will probably break. Quality of printing is fine. I have’t printed any pictures yet, so can’t comment on photo quality. I love how it prints back to back. I say I’d recommend it, but I would include the negative aspects and let them decide.

Won't allow you to print how you want. Insists on printing from back tray unless printing the most basic document and if you want a photocopy without a border, forget it, have to use the rear tray. Also bought because I wanted to print wirelessly easily from anywhere in my home and my last printer wouldn't connect. Well this one goes to "sleep" and says it's offline. The only way to wake it up is to physically push the power button which completely defeats the purpose. I'm highly disappointed to say I paid the full $150 price tag for this paperweight hunk of trash. Even at $70 now, don't waste your money.
