Fantastic Value and quality for photos
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this when it was on sale cheaper than wholesale cost. It was pretty easy to setup and gives you all the nicer features like a larger touch screen over the lower models. The main reason I bought it was the photo specific ink, 2 of them! Photo blue and photo black in addition to the standard Y C M and PageBlack make this crazy good over a regular inkjet. I figured the included starter cartridges would only be good for a few demo prints and setup but 30 borderless 5x7's later and they are only a little past halfway gone, which is a terrific value as the ink set is $50 on its own. I have a separate laser B&W for office work and anticipate enjoying this a long time to come for quick prints. The phone app works great, but if the photo is too large it will make you do it from the computer. Also the included software is okay but not great, as expected. It crashed trying to print my wedding pictures that were professionally shot and huge files. The drivers worked great, though, so printing directly from the windows dialogue was fine.

Not Bad for a $70 Printer
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had a Canon MP980 printer but it needed it's ink absorber replaced. Canon said this model can no longer be serviced. So I purchased the Canon TS9120 on sale since it got good reviews for print/photo quality. It is not as well made as the MP980. It is also loud. If the print tray is extended for use it sits very far out, so you have to be careful not to hit it. If you leave it out the touch screen is at an awkward angle. The mechanical extension of the paper tray is just another thing to break in the future. The paper tray does not allow a quick one page slip-in of paper - you have to remove and then snap back on a cover. Print quality is okay. Am glad I can print labels from a rear tray. Guess I got spoiled by the MP980. I know it was a more expensive printer, and I had it for a number of years, but the design and quality was so much better. Haven't scanned with the TS9120 yet so I can't compare but the MP980 was pretty good and it's specs show a higher resolution. Glad I didn't pay full price for the TS9120, but I guess it will be okay.

Canon Pixma 9120
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent printer, very high quality . Excellent quality, using it irregularly for two years, but nothing went wrong, that is, after not using many other printers for six months, they just become rubbish, but my printers work excellent both on the first day and now, nothing has changed. Excellent quality.

Overall A Pretty Good Printer
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is different from the previous Pixma printers we've owned in the past. The positives are that it's faster, has touch screen instead of a dial, and it takes XL and XXL printer cartridges. The one negative is that it goes to sleep and, unless you tap the screen, it delays printing when the printer needs to wake up. But written text and photos are sharp. We're happy with this printer.

Great pictures
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It prints beautiful pictures!! I have a hard time getting it to pull paper from the rear tray instead of the bottom.

Small and stylish
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good printer for home/personal use. It has a responsive touch screen Lcd, easy setup in my experience. Also has two paper loading configuration. I gave it 4 star because of the pricey and small ink cartridges compared to competitors.

A waste of money
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This printer prints great quality but is awful. I had it less than 2 months and it's so finicky. I can print something through wifi and then 2 seconds later try and print another document and it will say the printer is no longer connected. It will stop half way through printing and take a break and then resume printing the page about 5 minutes later... very slowly. Then my favorite thing it does is tell me I don't have and paper in the rear tray... when I have a stack of paper loaded into the tray. I only had it 2 months and I have to just get a new printer. Of course it's out of the return period and I even tried to call Canon to get help. They just gave me excuses and tried to blame it on everything but the actual printer. Yes the ink is expensive and it runs out fast. This is my last Canon printer since they print great quality but some aspect of them always breaks and their warranty means nothing.

great printer
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.great printer. When you need ink a new printer is cheaper than ink. Love canon products but it is bad when a new printer with all ink is cheaper than buying new ink.

This sucks so much it should be a vacuum cleaner
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I can't believe I gave up an Epson for this. Never again. I purchased this because it has the capability to print on CD/DVD. Unfortunately, Canon's proprietary software is useless for designing labels--so one has to spend more money to purchase third-party software. Second problem--the wi-fi adapter in the printer is useless. It only works intermittently. Third problem--Half the time the printer won't accept print commands without being turned off and turned back on. Unfortunately, this is past the thirty-day time period where I can return it to the store for a refund. But I will never again purchase a Canon printer. The only thing they are good for is for use as a sledge hammer target. I would not only NOT recommend a Canon printer to a friend--I wouldn't even recommend them to my worst enemy.

Garbage
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Won't allow you to print how you want. Insists on printing from back tray unless printing the most basic document and if you want a photocopy without a border, forget it, have to use the rear tray. Also bought because I wanted to print wirelessly easily from anywhere in my home and my last printer wouldn't connect. Well this one goes to "sleep" and says it's offline. The only way to wake it up is to physically push the power button which completely defeats the purpose. I'm highly disappointed to say I paid the full $150 price tag for this paperweight hunk of trash. Even at $70 now, don't waste your money.

Not worth the money
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this printer to replace my old one that had stopped connecting and had internal issues. I wanted a printer I could connect to and print from from anywhere. This is not that printer. I leave it on constantly, but it never fails when I need or print its always "unavailable" causing me to have to go wake it up to do its job. Completely defeats the purpose! It's also loud and picture quality is so so. If I weren't outside the return window I would take it back.

Ink Hog
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Canon 9120 works great and is quiet. I used the wired set up and have not printed any photos yet, just black & white and color documents. Having had this printer just over two months, I am in the process of the second set of inks running out and have printed very low volume (That's roughly one set of cartridges per month!) . Previously, ink cartridges had to only be replaced every 3-4 months, depending on volume.

Excellent printer, NOT
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this printer about 6 months ago, and this is a follow-up review. Unfortunately I now cannot recommend this printer, as it's firmware/software leaves a lot to be desired. The connection to Wifi is flaky at best, and trying to connect it to my LAN is now almost impossible to maintain. The CANON software download, I believe, is the main culprit. Gave up on CS from Canon(I think they should stay to making cameras only). Guess there's a reason that they've now gone on a 1/2price sale. This one is now in the trash and an HP has taken it's place.

Ink becomes expensive. Do not buy.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Runs out of ink quickly. I use to enjoy this printer at first but as time continued I realized how quickly it ran out of ink. I'd by the xxl containers and it would be out within about 20 prints. I am highly dissatisfied with how much ink I am having to buy with this printer. Instead of being able to buy one combo pack you have to buy 2.5 combo packs to fill the cartages. For a cost effective printer I would not recommend it. Most other printers draw from the other cartages when it runs out of ink. Not this one if one is out you must fill it for it to work. Cost effective I would not recommend this printer. It does a good job but you'll be going through a ton of ink cartages.

NO better than anything out there
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm 100% convinced that there is no such thing as a good home printer. This one fits that bill. Simple printing is complicated and it shouldn't be. Why do manufacturers need to put so much effort into things we don't really need. JUST GIVE ME THE BASICS. And, make them easy to use. Seriously, is that too much to ask?
