Overall I like this camera and purchased it as a stand in for my Canon 7d when I need a light weight, very capable camera. So far it show lots of promise in this regard. Pros: -Great picture quality, tone -fast lens, low noise -Good feature set (scenes, ND filter mode, etc) -Useful modes (aperture/shutter priority, full manual, program, custom) Cons: -Small, difficult to hold (minor complaint) -Fragile flash (minor complaint) -poor battery life (~225 photos) (bigger concern) -automatic shutter "cap" seems fragile

I love this camera! It has good auto focus and amazing quality! This is an awesome camera and I like the screen that flips up its just amazing! I love using this camera for pictures and videos :)

I have been hauling around a very heavy Cannon dslr for years and wanted something to take on international trips where space and weight is limited. Tried a Coolpix but was unhappy. This camera is fabulous. It takes great shots on full auto and has lots of options when I want to play. The battery life is short so I bought a back up. I would recommend this as a terrific lightweight camera.

After a month of reading reviews, I finally decided to go with this camera. The main reason was because for a camera this size it takes exceptional photos and videos. It was important that I am able to just throw it in my purse and take it out to take pictures right away. Starts up very fast you won't miss a moment. The touch screen is a plus and overall it looks very sleek. Although very pricey, it is worth it.

Excellent camera! Both feature and performance. I also have the Sony RX100 II. Both performed ok. Canon Is better value! Had an issue with the battery. Displayed counterfeit battery, consulted with Bestbuy staff, software problem. Bestbuy took care of it immediately. One other improvement Canon might want implement is micro USB charging. Carrying an extra external dedicated charger is not convenient when travel. Overall, an excellent camera for the price.

i love this camera. I bought it to record videos for when I go on vacation etc. Great quality pics and video. Would recommend this for sure. Only negative is battery life. Usually doesn't last me a whole day. Def need a backup one if you are using it for videos or for a long day of pic taking

This camera is awesome. The picture, video and battery life is great. Plus the screen that flip up. This was purchase for birthday gift for me. If anyone thinking about getting this camera. Get it!!!!! You will NOT be disappointed.

This is a second camera for us, our pocket camera. I wanted sowmhing with similar options as my dslr without the weight. Granted it is not a dslr but the quality of the photos so far are pretty stellar. I can't take this with me when I don't want to carry a huge camera and all my lenses on trips we've already done that are ok to have the g7x with us. I'm pretty excited about this purchase and wish I could say more. A couple weeks in so far so good

A point and shoot camera Canon brand. This is one is a highly popular use for the videos capturing and the good quality photo shots. selfies is a must? This camera delivers good selfies photo and video capture withe flip screen. the bulit-in wifi works and fit the needs to transfer over to the iphone and uplaod to facebook.

I have a t3i, on my way to France and wanted something smaller. this camera has it all and fits on a selfie stick too. point and click was the best. could not upload file to this page, too big. thats a good thing when it comes to printing.

I read a lot of positive reviews & heard great things about this camera. It does not disappoint. It takes great photos and sharp videos. I love the flip screen - its great to angle it if the sun causes any glare. I'm excited to take this camera on vacation and get to use it in various settings.

The Canon GX 7 is an outstanding camera, with lots of features, both for the novice, and experienced photobuff. We bought it to take with us on vacation, due to it's small size, and quality of pictures. We were not disappointed. The only complaint (If you can call it that) is that the waterproof case (optional buy) is very pricey...

I have had both the Sony Cybershot DSC-RX100M3 and this camera, and despite what you might read all over the internet, both cameras perform very, very well. I much prefer the handling of the Canon over the Sony, and I am able to pull out more pleasing (to me) pictures from the Canon. That said, the biggest issue I discovered with the Canon was the very slightly lower quality at 1:1 when compared to the Sony. The Sony just produced ever so slightly better images (before tweaking) than the Canon. Bear in mind that this is for shooting RAW images. In JPEG, the Canon falls apart quickly. I can't stress this enough: do NOT compare the Canon to the Sony by comparing JPEG images. You will incorrectly conclude that the Canon is horrible. This camera is a really good tool when used properly (RAW vs JPEG, exposure settings, etc.). I do not hesitate to recommend this camera to anyone looking for a small, capable device over a larger DSLR.

I had been researching a good vlogging camera for a few months now [nearly a year] and I first wanted the Rebel but after about a month went by, I had ended up deciding that this was the camera for me. Now I didn't know how many amazing features this camera really had until I had purchased it. I don't want to keep you, but syncing it to my phone was really simple. So I can save pictures from the camera onto my phone for posting on instagram, and the upload process is so easy. The cameras features are seemingly endless and I couldn't be more pleased!!

This camera takes great photos and is a perfect small size to put in a pocket and take on vacations. I have a large SLR camera, but found it difficult for travel. This one does everything I need and I think I will sell the large one.

A huge fan of this camera. I watch a lot of youtubers that use this camera and was very intrigued by the quality they receive from it. Yes it's a little pricey for a point and shoot but everything you can do with it makes the price worth it. A lot of people think my photos are from a DSLR (which I also own). I am also a huge fan of the wifi connection so while on the go I can load the photos straight to my mobile phone. Another plus is I can set the camera up somewhere and control it from my phone to take pictures without a timer.

took this camera on vacation recently. it is easy to use and produces really good quality images. i don't mind the clicky wheel, as it makes it easy for me to count the clicks. i was not disappointed.

I have read and seen so many reviews about how great this camera is. I finally decided to purchase it and give it a try. I have to say it is a bit on the pricy side for a camera. I usually don't spend a lot on cameras the max would be $300. I am so glad that I got this camera, the quality is amazing. Aside of filming videos, its also great for taking pictures. I love how it knows how to adjust its self when the lighting is low. If you are planning to invest in a camera I say go and buy this one!

This camera is super easy to use and carry around. I wanted a camera that would be very portable and take excellent pictures. This is the camera. I have taken this all over town and on a trip and it met all my expectations and more. Couldn't recommend this enough!

I just love using this 7x , clarity superb, I mean totally worth it and fits in the pocket.
