I purchased this camera a few weeks ago to start vlogging. While I am still learning how to use the more advanced features, it is a wonderful camera. I can't believe the excellent quality of the video it takes. It takes very clear pictures and even in low light where other camera would need a flash. I highly recommend this came for vloggers and anyone else who want to take great photos and shoot the occasional video. The only downside is the battery only lasts a few hours so I purchased a backup for when I am on vacation.

I have been using this camera for quite some time now. I have to say I use it daily as a vlogger. The audio and video is just what I would expect from a camera at this price point. The video is very crisp and clear and the camera has no problem picking up audio even when set up on a tripod. The menus are not complicated and are very easy to navigate. And with numerous settings for different situations this is the perfect camera for vacations so you can capture those snapshots for lasting memories or making home videos. My camera arrived on time and as expected.

Controls are easy to use. Good quality video.Good battery life.

Excellent photo quality in a small package. I had wanted very sharp and good quality photos in a camera that is easy to carry. This one bests the rest.

We use these cameras for shooting vehicles in the phot booth. Take tons of pictures every day. We got this one to replace the G16 that got junked out under the Best Buy Geek Squad protection plan.

I bought this camera for my daughter (a junior in high school). She has long desired a camera she can use for filming and editing videos. She absolutely loves it, and has used it to film and edit together several music videos of special events (anniversary parties, family reunions, etc.) The video quality is superb, and at a reasonable price.

This camera is amazing. The quality of the photos you take are crisp and give the quality of something of a larger DSLR camera would that isn't as heavy to carry around. My favorite feature is the flip up screen for “selfies” and the lighting when photos are taken at night or in dimmed lighting. I can't get enough of this camera. Highly recommend to anyone who is fairly new or enjoys taking photos! It's a great camera and the quality is unreliable. Well worth the price. Canon cameras never fail to disappoint.

I use this camera everyday to create a daily vlog to capture family memories. It has stood up well to the beating I have given it. The camera goes in and out of my pocket multiple times a day and gets turned on and off multiple times a day. It is still working great.

After reading countless reviews and comparisons between the Sony RX100 Mk3 and the Canon G7X, I decided to try both for myself. Before I go any further, I will admit to being a Canon user after switching from Nikon over 15 years ago. Either way, I wanted to give both a fair shot and in the end it comes down to personal preference. Yes, each camera has features that excel over the other but it doesn't matter how great a feature is if it doesn't let YOU take great shots. Sony does have excellent qualities for film but that isn't the primary reason for me buying this camera. I wanted an On-The-Go camera that allowed me to take full control of my photography without spending 20 minutes changing settings. This let me to pick the Canon G7X. It has a more comfortable feel for photographer while the Sony has a more modern and stylish feel which isn't as comfortable. Both are great cameras and their technological similarities are more prominent than their differences; one is slightly better at filming (Sony), one has better zoom (Canon), etc, etc. It comes down to the feel in your hand, the ease of use, and the familiarity of Canon for me.

after purchasing I really wish I would have bought a DSLR. it's great because it's compact & sometimes there's great megapixel, but other times it doesn't focus right, and pictures are blurry. it's pretty sturdy and the screen flips up which is super helpful for pictures of you and friends when there's no one else to take it! or flipping the screen up while connected to a tripod to see where the screen is! it's a really good camera & I like the capabilities it has

I was reluctant to spend $650 on this style of camera but well worth the price.

It's the best camera for vlogging. Battery life is short though so be sure to get extra batteries.

This is a great camera. I love Canon and this is much easier to haul around compared to my T3i.

I had been looking at the Canon G1 X Mark II and loved the size but not the price. Coming across the G7 I found the size even more compact that it can fit almost anywhere. It was on sale and found the images were just as good, despite a .5" size difference on the images sensor. It has almost same comfortable and professional feel in your hand of the Mark II but without the bulk. Same flip screen as the Mark II as well. The zoom is the only lacking feature on this camera but most can still deal as I did.

Traded in my DSLR and lenses because I was tired of hauling around the weight. I also wanted something that shot better video. This camera is perfect. Compact enough to take everywhere and shoots 1080p at 60fps. The flip up screen is great for vlogging. Oh and the pictures are great as well. Highly recommend this camera!
