Easy to use camera resulting in great pictures with easy transfer to wifi for sending to family/friends!

I was looking for a camera to use during my trip to Europe since I didn't want to rely on my phone. I wanted something with a great zoom & megapixels since I'd be taking pictures of landmarks and art but I didn't want anything heavy. I stood in front of the camera displays for a good while comparing every model. I settled for this one as it had what I needed and the price was pretty good but I was still unsure if I'd end up keeping it. Well, turns out this camera is awesome. I took amazing pictures and was able to easily transfer them to my phone via it's wifi and post them anytime I got to free wifi spots. I loved that. It fit perfectly in my jacket pocket so I didn't have to carry a bag while exploring cities. But what really excited me was when I got back home and shared what I captured with my husband. I was clicking through the photos and wondered where a video I recorded was. I noticed a ton of videos and opened them and to my delight this camera captures a couple seconds before every picture. It made for a fun slideshow and captured hilarious moments before pictures were taken. I didn't know about this feature when I bought it and am pleased with the surprise. I'm definitely keeping it and using it whenever I can.

Camera takes amazing photos, the video it takes are good as well. Compact camera that travels well.

very good resolution and easy to use. should come with a storage card as the camera is not useful without one.

I took the camera on a trip. It was very easy to use. It is very compact and easy to carry around.

I was taking a trip to NYC, but didn't want to take my heavier SLR camera due to shoulder problems. I checked out the SX610, read the reviews, went to Best Buy and checked it out, and purchased it. I couldn't be more pleased! Check out my shot of Bruce Willis after seeing "Misery". I ended up across the street because the crowd was too thick for a photo - heads, hand, etc kept getting in the shot. The zoom is phenomenal!

The bundle package with this camera is of great value. The camera and it's functions are easy to learn, use, and edit. The camera is compact for all it's features. Clarity with zoom is a big bonus and the built in stability feature smooths outdoor filming on a windy day.

I'm a fan of Canon cameras - they perform and hold up well - features are generally intuitive. Navigating this model is a bit more complex than my old Canon Sure Shot - this one definitely has more features than I'll use. . The SX610 HS takes nice clear photos and looks like it should hold up well

I got the camera at the last minute before my daughter's recital. Even though I didn't have time to sit and learn how to use it, it was very easy to get a handle on the use. I loved the fact that it also took videos.

Amazing zoom, and just great overall, size, capabilities

We bought this camera for use on a vacation to Hawaii. We wanted something that small, easy to use, and takes good quality photos. This camera proved to be exactly what we needed. The quality is everything we had hoped for and the camera is very easy to use.

This camera took great pictures right out of the box. It is very user friendly. Wifi works ok. Has a lot of user settings if you want to get into it. The pop up flash is in a difficult spot, but the camera tells you if you need it. The flash tends to wash out the picture on close ups, but you don't usually need it..

I am amazed at the zoom distance and the clarity of the photos. The manual is very basic and I had to call for some instruction. Canon customer service was great and took care of my questions. I am really happy with Canon cameras and have used them for years. We travel and I really use my camera a lot. I am very happy with this one.

I am a long time owner of Canon cameras as they have consistently given me good quality and an easy menu structure. My new SX610 HS is no different. Love the zoom, HD video, and the ability to transfer photo's to my phone for posting or emailing during the course of a trip.
