This is an excellent ultra-wide zoom lens. It is plastic, but doesn't feel cheap. It is very light, and easy to carry around all day. The actual lenses are glass; it is extremely sharp, helping me produce outstanding images. Don't let the price fool you - it is very high quality. There is not an AF/MF switch on the lens, but you can set this on your camera either with a switch or via menu depending on the model. The manual focus ring on the lens is always active, so this isn't an issue for me. There isn't a switch for the stabilizer, but you can set it in one of the camera menus. I use it for landscapes, sunrises and sunsets, and also for group shots of family and friends. This is a high quality and very affordable lens - light in weight, amazingly sharp, and stabilized. It is a great value, and I have been very happy with its performance. My highest recommendation!

Good Everyday Starter Lens — Compact and Versatile The Canon RF-S 18-45mm is a lightweight and compact zoom lens that works really well as a starter lens on Canon APS-C cameras like the R10 or R50. Its 18–45mm range covers most common shooting situations — from street and travel shots to portraits and everyday photos. I like that it has image stabilization which helps keep shots sharp when shooting handheld, and the autofocus is smooth and quiet, which is great for both photos and casual video work. However, it does have some limitations — the maximum aperture (f/4.5-6.3) isn’t great in low light, and you won’t get much background blur for portraits. The build feels more basic (plastic) and edge sharpness isn’t as strong as higher-end lenses. Overall: A solid value for beginners or anyone who wants a light, all-around lens that’s easy to carry and delivers good results for everyday photography.

Absolutely impressed with the clarity and performance of the Canon 10-18mm lens. The ultra-wide angle allows for stunning, immersive compositions, capturing everything I need with ease. While the limited zoom range takes some adjustment, the creative possibilities far outweigh the constraint—it’s a lens I could get very used to.

Excellent wide lens for my R50. Solid and provided a great quality image in moderately lighted at minimum situations.

It was a good lens for small spaces for events! Just use flash for lowlight setting.

I am not as experienced with cameras, but this lense was recommended by a content creator on youtube for streaming and I liked all the specs they described. However, I do wish it zoomed in more than it does. I do get a lot of compliments on how good the quality comes out.

I have not had a chance to use it yet - but it is definitely the correct lense this time I am so excited to have it for my trip to Scottland

The RF-S 10-18mm Canon Lens is a surprise. It is very small and light yet it is also sharp with good color rendition. For a crop sensor Canon body this lens is just what you need for wide angle shots.
