The lens RF 100-500 is fantastic. With 500mm it can reach enough far enough to shot wildlife/birds with good quality. On the other hand it is not so heavy and bulky as other super telelephoto lenses. Very happy with the new toy.

This is a very nice lens that works well with my Canon R7. It would be the ultimate lens if it were 1.8 or 2.8. Low light just a little tricky need to bump up the IOS but overall great lens.

This lens was a great addition to my Cannon 6 MII. I took it out for a test run to catch some birds and it easily managed the stability and autofocus.

Purchased for sports photography and some wildlife.
This lens really produced excellent photos. Was able to zoom in really close and get the most amazing shots.
I would definitely love to check out other telephoto lenses from Canon at 800mm and up after seeing how amazing photos with this lens turned out.

Performance is incredible, as it is fast, sharp, and when mated with my R6, only came off my camera for the occasional landscape shot as I was there for wildlife...and the area did not disappoint.
Yes it is expensive, however buy this before getting the 70-200 and then think about all the times you missed a shot because you had this lens vs. the 70-200.
At this point, I am reducing what I carry because of this lens.

Paired with R6 II, super sharp, fast focus, 4.5-7.1 aperture is just fine, good stabilization. Loved taking it to Alaska, glad I had the full range from 100-500. It was the only lens I used, and only once did I wish for wide angle.

Great lens at a great price. Sharp at 500mm as well as 100mm. I mainly do motorsports and zoo photography and this lens is great for both. It's light weight which makes it's easy to carry.

Amazing lens, its portable, light weight and can give your camera the reach (even at full frame) to catch that wildlife without scaring them away. This lens is also great for airshows, landscape photography and anything your imagination throws at it. Highly recommended.

I am an amateur photographer at best. My favorite subjects are animals. I especially like shooting birds in flight. This lens is fast and accurate. I paired it with a Canon R6 mirrorless camera and couldn't be happier. This combo doesn't miss focus that often and I keep more photos than ever before. I thought the cost was high until I started using it. I don't delete anywhere near as many photos as I used to. Worth the money for sure!

Elder brother of the EF legend

If you are a Canon shooter and shoot wild life, ye have the legendary EF 100-400mm
Now when you switch to mirrorless R bodies, while you sure can use the EF with adapter, but it makes more sense to get this bit lighter and addition 100mm reach lens that you can mount directly on the R body.
Excellent focussing and superb image quality. Not sure now but at the time I purchased it, the availability was a great issue.
So grab one when you see it. You will not regret.

Amazing lens. Bought it for taking pictures of my daughter’s color guard competition at the Rose Bowl and did a little plane spotting at LAX (from the park hill). Used with my R6ii and got some top tier shots.

Incredible Reach, Insane Sharpness
The Canon RF100-500mm is everything you want in a telephoto—lightweight, fast autofocus, and tack-sharp images all the way to 500mm. Image stabilization is rock solid, and the build is pure L-series quality. Perfect for wildlife, sports, and looking way cooler than your friends. Worth it!

This is a beautiful lens. It is lightweight and easy to carry and use. It takes sharp beautiful pictures. I use the lens almost exclusively to capture birds in -flight, and most of the time the birds are not close. I have the old Canon 400mm f5.6 lens which is extraordinarily sharp, but this new lens does virtually as well.

Had to wait awhile until my Canon EOS R5 came in from Best Buy. Once I paired it up to my new camera - I was more than pleased. This lens is hardy, sharp, and has a great focusing and zoom range. Canon has created a winner. I just wish it had a bit better aperture. 7.1 is a bit slow.

Canon L lenses are more expensive than 3rd party lenses, but can be worth it. The way it works with a Canon back of similar quality is very nice. You just need to decide if the Canon integration is with the premium, but for my use it was.

I am using this lens paired with both and R6 and R7. I had a Tamron 150-600 G2 lens and had focusing issues. Purchased this lens and all the focusing issues have resolved. Super fast silent focus with top notch sharpness.

This is a reliable lens that offers excellent autofocus, stable images. Very satisfied with the image quality of photos taken with this lens. Excellent focal lengths for wildlife or bird photography. Highly recommended. Only criticism is that the lens is very expensive, as it seems all Canon RF products are.

For the price you can't a better lens within this focal zoom length. Just tact sharp and AF is quick and really light in weight compared to it's similar EF counterpart.
