Amazing lens, its portable, light weight and can give your camera the reach (even at full frame) to catch that wildlife without scaring them away. This lens is also great for airshows, landscape photography and anything your imagination throws at it. Highly recommended.

If you are a Canon shooter and shoot wild life, ye have the legendary EF 100-400mm Now when you switch to mirrorless R bodies, while you sure can use the EF with adapter, but it makes more sense to get this bit lighter and addition 100mm reach lens that you can mount directly on the R body. Excellent focussing and superb image quality. Not sure now but at the time I purchased it, the availability was a great issue. So grab one when you see it. You will not regret.

Bought this Len on line for outdoor sports and wildlife photography. It is very versatile and gives me wonderfully sharp images. As always Best Buy is a great source for professional photographers and for folks who want high quality equipment

This is a great telephoto lens for shooting wildlife and the moon. It has all the bells and whistles like all of the other Canon L lenses and a few more. It is a bit pricey but I purchased it with my Best Buy credit card and picked up a lot of bonus points. If you can afford it its a nice lens to add to your camera bag.

This is a truly fantastic lens. I used it in Alaska photographing wildlife of various kinds, and it never let me down. I was able to get almost every shot I wanted, even from boats. The optical stabilization is stellar and despite the fairly narrow aperture, using auto ISO enabled me to get a great range of shots that I otherwise wouldn't have been able to get. It is a bit heavy, but not so much that it becomes too burdensome to carry, and having it at hand to get the shots I wanted was well worth the weight in my pack or in my hand.

I love this lens! It is fast and sharp. I am very satisfied with the quality of the wildlife photos I have taken with the lens.

This is an awesome Lense. I have already used for wildlife photos and the the clarity and sharpess is amazing. I have also used for ports photos during sunny day and it did an awesome job

Canon L lenses are more expensive than 3rd party lenses, but can be worth it. The way it works with a Canon back of similar quality is very nice. You just need to decide if the Canon integration is with the premium, but for my use it was.

I wasn’t sure if I wanted this lens or the Canon 200-800. I’m so glad that I chose this lens. It takes amazing photos.can’t wait to get out and use it more.

This lens was a great addition to my Cannon 6 MII. I took it out for a test run to catch some birds and it easily managed the stability and autofocus.

This is a very nice lens that works well with my Canon R7. It would be the ultimate lens if it were 1.8 or 2.8. Low light just a little tricky need to bump up the IOS but overall great lens.

One of my favorite lenses. Great for everything i shoot very universal.

I am using this lens paired with both and R6 and R7. I had a Tamron 150-600 G2 lens and had focusing issues. Purchased this lens and all the focusing issues have resolved. Super fast silent focus with top notch sharpness.

For the price you can't a better lens within this focal zoom length. Just tact sharp and AF is quick and really light in weight compared to it's similar EF counterpart.

This is a reliable lens that offers excellent autofocus, stable images. Very satisfied with the image quality of photos taken with this lens. Excellent focal lengths for wildlife or bird photography. Highly recommended. Only criticism is that the lens is very expensive, as it seems all Canon RF products are.

This lens is just wonderful, after using the RF-800mm for 8 months and working around the shortcomings of the lens F11 using the 100-500 mm it is such a joy to be able to shoot and know that the image I just capture is in focus and little grain with out even peeking at the image

Great pairing for my Canon RF5, this 100-500 L lens brings the wildlife up closer, and the combination is just lovely for birds as well as larger wildlife. Extremely pleased with the sharpness, focus, and excellent quality.
