Just buy it
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great lens! Never had such a wide lens before, opens up lots of possibilities. Super fast focus, sharp wide open. One thing I found interesting is as the lens extends, the mm gets smaller. Opposite of a zoom lens. My only regret is I wasted money on the 35mm1.8 rather than put it towards this. Sure, that’s slightly smaller and lighter than this, this is so much more versatile and faster focusing

One of the best concert lenses around!
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my go to lens for concert photography. Make sure you put your subject a little closer towards the center of the frame because it will distort your subject if they're near the edges at 15mm. At 20-35 you will not run into this issue. This lens is SHARP. The build quality is also excellent.

Sold me a used lens instead of new
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this lens during Best Buy’s sale for it. When I picked it up from the store, it was clear that the box was opened but the associate assured me that it was just a problem with the box. When I opened the item, it was clear that this lens had been taken out of the box. The lens bag was upside down and dirty, the lens was missing its plastic protetive sleeve, the lens itself was covered in some dust and glitter, the lens cap wasn’t even on the bottom of the lens, and the element had dust on it. I brought it back to the store, but I was told that I’d have to come back in tomorrow to have it exchanged. I’ll update this review once something happens. Stay safe out there, guys. I hope this doesn’t happen to one of y’all.

A Versatile Masterpiece for Every Photographer
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Title: Canon RF15-35mm F2.8L IS USM: A Versatile Masterpiece for Every Photographer Purchasing the Canon RF15-35mm F2.8L IS USM Ultra-Wide Angle Zoom lens has been nothing short of a revelation for my photography. From the moment I started using it, I could tell this lens was something special. The term "magical" doesn't even begin to cover the incredible versatility and performance this lens offers. The sharpness of the images captured with this lens is truly fantastic. Whether I'm shooting at 15mm or pushing towards 35mm, the clarity and detail in each photograph are outstanding, with minimal distortion. This is a game-changer for landscape photography, where every detail matters. The wide capabilities of this lens have allowed me to capture breathtaking landscapes, bringing to life the vastness and beauty of each scene with unparalleled clarity. But what sets the Canon RF15-35mm F2.8L IS USM apart is its surprising versatility. It's not just a lens for landscapes or real estate; it performs exceptionally well for portraits too. The ability to zoom in and achieve a tighter focus means I can effortlessly switch from capturing sprawling landscapes to taking full-body portraits or detailed close-ups. This flexibility makes it an invaluable tool in my photography kit, ensuring I'm always prepared, no matter what the shoot demands. For those contemplating the addition of a wide-angle lens to their collection, especially for real estate or landscape photography, I cannot recommend this lens enough. However, its versatility extends far beyond these niches. If you're also interested in capturing stunning portraits with beautiful background separation and detail, this lens will not disappoint. The build quality is exactly what you'd expect from Canon's L series - robust, weather-sealed, and ready for the rigors of professional use. Combined with the Image Stabilization (IS) and Ultra-Sonic Motor (USM) for fast, accurate focusing, it's a joy to use in any situation. In conclusion, the Canon RF15-35mm F2.8L IS USM Ultra-Wide Angle Zoom lens is a masterclass in lens design. It's a powerful, versatile tool that has elevated my photography, allowing me to explore and capture the world in ways I never thought possible. Whether you're a seasoned professional or an enthusiastic amateur, this lens is a worthy investment that will inspire your creativity and enhance your photographic journey.

The Workhorse Lens
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As an event and festival videographer and photographer, having a wide angle zoom is essential in my kit. This being one of the only wide angle zooms with IS is huge with the EOS R not having IBIS, and it is apparent with not only hand holding video, but having slower shutters on photos as well... The only thing I can think of that is a disappointment with this lens is the overall size and weight. With mirrorless options we were promised lenses that would be smaller and lighter, but I guess that isn’t necessarily going to be the case. Overall image quality is amazing. Contrast and colors look good off of this, and is extremely sharp. I’m excited to use this on future EOS bodies and see what this lens can really do.

Excellent wide lense but could be wider
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Wish I coud give it 4 1/2 stars. Excellent lens, outside price it's hard to complain about much, but I will, for this price it should be perfect. -Sharp, fast, good range, what more could I ask for? I very much would of loved it to go even wider, maybe 14 or even 12. This is part of their "holy Trinity" as in it pairs with their 24-75, so the overlap seems unnecessary and could have been put to better use at 12-14 range. Maybe they had a hard time keeping it as sharp at the lower mm's? Regardless we do not have many options for the RF mout system just yet and the lens does indeed live up to canons typical excellent build quality,

Amazing RF Lens!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I upgraded from a Canon EOS 7D Mark II to a spiffy mirrorless R6, intending to use my collection of EF-mount lenses via an adapter. I found that my ultrawide lens was made for crop-sensor cameras, so it wasn't giving me the full range. Plus, RF lenses bring benefits like improved IS (coordinating between the lens' IS and the sensor IS in the camera), faster shutter speed, and the control ring. I thought this 15-35mm would be a good replacement for my old 11-16mm, offering just as much width at the short end but more versatility on the long end. So far so good--the lens is solid, wonderfully sharp, with zippy autofocus and all the expected RF benefits. Absolutely loving it! Pricey but worth it.

Excellent for shooting landscape and skyline
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's a good addition to your camera gear. 15-35 mm allows you to take beautiful landscape and skyline photos. You can even get creative and shoot people as well. RF lenses are expense but this zoom range makes it good addition versatile. The other lens I like is RF 28-70mm f/2.0.

Great lens
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent lens, replaced my EF 16-35 with this after upgrading to the R6. I had the adapter with the newest EF 16-35 but this one is way sharper and the is complete with ibs of the R6 makes it a no brainer. I've put it to the test in 11 countries and from the freezing temps in the desert at night in Vegas to the tropical rain forest in Dominica. Hasn't let me down yet!
