This lens is the third one I've purchased with the 24-105mm f4. One was drowned one was an EF and this one for the RF. It is a great lens for moving around without any specific target in mind. It has a combination of wide angle with a little reach for distance shots. I use it for humming birds and it fits the demand proving I am close enough.

Don't let the F4 turn you away; this is a GREAT lens. Reasonably priced for the L series with such a versatile range at 24mm-105mm. I've used this lens for both photo and video and have been very happy with the results. Tack sharp at every focal length. Excellent lens that I leave on all the time unless I'm looking to do something very specific, otherwise it stays on all the time.

I’ve been using this lens for over a year for a number of different shoots, landscapes, portraits, events, food photography, videography, etc…It lives on my camera. If you need something a lil more budget friendly but still extremely capable can’t go wrong with this one.

I have the EF version of this lens and used it with my Canon RP and EF to RF adapter. When I upgraded to the R8, I decided to get the RF version. I will say that now that I have both, the RF isn’t that much smaller or lighter than the EF version with the adapter. I’d seen a comparison of the two versions and the optical quality for pictures is the same. I was debating about whether to keep it, but I also wanted to get into video more and this lens is quieter than the EF version. You can hear the focus motors and IS while taking video, but the RF version is quiet. That’s the main reason why I decided to keep it. That plus during the holidays, they were offering 24 months free financing.

I've had the EF version of this lens for years. This new RF version is better. Excellent image quality and very sharp. It's a Canon L series lens so it's very well built and has weather sealing. It's the perfect travel zoom lens as it's smaller and weighs less than its RF 24-70 f/2.8L brother (also a phenomenal lens in its own right), and it's only one stop slower. Also, the price is right.

This is a good all around lens for any number of applications. With the image stabilization, the max F4 aperture is not a serious issue. This compact, relatively lightweight lens is finding it's way more frequently as my walk around go to.

The Canon RF 24-105mm F4 L IS USM lens exceeds expectations with its exceptional image quality and versatile focal range. The L-series optics deliver sharpness and clarity, while the image stabilization ensures steady shots even in challenging conditions. The build quality is robust, and the autofocus is fast and accurate. Whether capturing landscapes or portraits, this lens consistently performs, making it a valuable addition to any photographer's kit.

Got this for my R6MKII. It is a nice lens for the price, but one big thing to take into consideration is the vignetting and distortion this lens produces. The JPGs that are processed from this camera correct them alright, but an Adobe Lens profile in something like lightroom is the best way to correct for these errors. Its a great lens and sharp too! But just keep in mind the vignetting and distortion.

The lens is tack sharp. It feels good on the EOS RP. Well balanced and not too heavy. I had to return my first copy. The lens made a high pitched beeping noise. Second copy is excellent!

Holy wow!!!!! I was skeptical at first, as I've never been a fan of 24-105 f4 zooms, but this lens has blown my mind. It is so much better than the older EF versions, and leaps and bounds better than the Sony IMO. Autofocus is blazingly fast, eye AF is spot on, and image quality is so so good. I can’t believe the pictures I’m getting from this f4 zoom lens. Pair the IS with the r5 or r6’s IBIS and you can hand hold photos for up to one second exposure!!! Canon has done an amazing job with this lens, can’t wait to see what else they put out for the RF mount

What a lens!!!! This is one beast of a lens. Really love the extra reach. For my purpose, this lens allowed me to not carry so many lenses in my bag. Picture quality is fantastic at all lengths. F stop of 4 is very good. Allows me to take wide shots all the way to close portraits. Sturdy build. 4k recording is exceptional. Shooting with a Canon R7

The most versatile lens. This lens looks super good at all focal lengths. At 105mm people can get fooled into thinking it’s a prime lens. It can do super wide shots and telephoto shots
