I upgraded from the stock 18-45mm lens with the canon R-50 and i can say this is an amazing upgrade an very much worth the price. I am an new to photography and was looking for something with a nice portrait blur and I got exactly that! Took some photos right after getting home to test it out

As a nifty fifty it is exactly that, not expensive or extravagant. It’s a great beginner lens to get a feel for how to shoot under different conditions manipulating the aperture.i used the lens for studio shoot just to see how it would perform and overall it did a great job. It’s not as sharp as an “L” lens but that’s obvious by the price.

I love this lens! It’s the PERFECT lens if you’re starting out and want to learn, without dropping BREAD on the big lenses. I definitely recommend! This 1.8 is a TRUE BEAUTY! The auto focus can be funky sometimes but you can learn to work around it.
