My camera take great pictures in the dark but the dark turns to daylight with this great flash. I love it!

Few aspects of a photo is as important as the lighting – second only to the subject and of course the composition & this flash delivers where it counts. If you're new to photography or only take a few shots here or there, then this is really over-kill .. but if you're a serious photographer then look no further. Overall this is the best Canon flash and with its ease of use, reliability and features you won't find a better flash but then you do pay the steep price!

I have always had canon flashes and this one is by far the best. Love the features.

I am a wedding photographer and I use this flash to trigger another flash off camera. It's worked just fine so far and the menu is fairly intuitive. My only complaint is that the recycle time is a little longer than I'd like for working in reception environments, so I may look into a battery pack.

I had other flashes and this one works so much better than others

This is a great flash unit that I bought for my son's DSLR camera. It has a lot of functionality built into it and if you buy one then don't believe that you have to get a cord to use the flash off-camera (it can be done by setting it to SLAVE and using the built-in flash on the camera to trigger it). I know that he told me that he used it to go out to a local museum and took a lot of shots of the exhibits and I must say that they were great looking photos. Now that I've gotten it for him, he uses this flash almost constantly and he says that it works great and hasn't had any trouble with it so far. I would definitely recommend this flash!

It does what is should. I also have several yongnuo versions of this light and they are identical except the offbrands are constantly shutting off due to overheating. This unit has never done that. However I dropped this speedlight once from about 4.5 feet and the flash head broke and had to be sent in for repair (which was never necessary when I dropped the yongnuos). If you can afford it and don't drop things this is definetely worth more than offbrands because of consistent power and good functionality. Nothing ruins a shoot like your lights failing.

Love my speed light , I seriously do! It’s powerful , it really is.. it’s pricey as hell but it’s worth paying that extra!

Brightens up my photos. Easy to use. Easy to attach to a camera. All the features are useful and it has lived up to what I have expected and more. Canon brand is the best.

For anyone like me who is new to photography and wanting to explore fun, creative opportunities with flash photography, this is a great option to add a compact and versatile flash to your photographic set-up. I was able to use this with ease for brightening darkened rooms to filling in and preventing an under-exposed images.

This Canon speedlite is amazing. It has so many features than I will ever need. It is very easy to use and produces great results.

Because that's what this flash is....quality. I kept debating myself whether I should splurge and get it, but I knew I was shooting a wedding this summer and the bargain basement flash I had just wasn't going to do the trick. After the first shot I took with this new one all my worries were gone as I knew it was money well spent. Throw in some Eneloop Pro rechargable batteries from Panasonic (the recycyle time with these is fantastic) and you've got an unmatched pair!

Expensive but well worth the price. Does everything great as expexted.

I don't own the Canon speedlite any longer but I loved them when I had them.

This is one of the most versatile camera flash in the world. Skip all the other Canon models and make the plunge and get this one. I have a total of 4 of these flashes. The radio function makes these flash extremely flexible and power output is much greater than the smaller flashes. The fiction of these flashes are completely reliable versus any after market units.

Upgraded from the 580 to this one because of lag times when shooting rapidly. The screen and controls are a significant improvement and still user friendly. I’ve been using it on all my professional shoots for about four months and I’m very happy I upgraded. Quiet, charges fast and provides a great amount of light for a relatively small size.

Hey....Its a Canon Speedlite! I purchased this after my 20+ year old Speedlite 380EX stopped fully charging (probably because I haven't used it enough lately). The Canon - Speedlite 600 EX-RT has more features than I will ever need. I used it at an indoor party last week and the facial skin tones turned out simply amazing! There are no flash reflections on anybody's face! I will have to spend some time learning more about it, but so far it works flawlessly. I am using it on a Canon Rebel T4i and a EF24-105 F4 IS USM. The flash was flawless through out the full range from wide multiple people shots to close up individual ones. Thanks again to Canon for a wonderful product. (Now, if Canon could only design their software downloading applications to be as great as the hardware.......)
