The camera takes decent video. It is very compact which makes it easy to carry around. Battery life is good. Biggest downside - transferring video to a computer is a real pain and the manual does not help at all - the instructions on the camera screen do not match what the manual says, so it was really difficult to figure out why the transfer wasn’t working.

I bought the Canon - VIXIA HF W10 Waterproof HD Camcorder - Blue for my self and I love it. it is great for out doors fishing and hunting or just out in a beautiful rain. you'll love this one and the price is low for it.

My daughter gave me less than 2 weeks notice that she wanted her wedding recorded. Looked at several different cameras, but this one had the best quality for the price. The zoom is by far the best out of all that I looked at. Makes a great picture!

The camera is simple to use, and the waterproof and shockproof aspects are good for family use.

Love the touch screen and easy to use the only draw back is you cannot buy extra batteries for it and the door to plug it in and charge it sometimes is hard to open but the battery life is for over five hours

I bought this camera because the price was reasonable and the Canon name has a good reputation. I was very satisfied with the options on the camera as well as how long the battery lasted. I video most of a wedding and had no problem. I still don’t know all of the functions that are available to me but I am working on it. Would recommend it.

Bought it for hunting, does a great job. The zoom is quiet and smooth. I can turn off the beeps. Used it in Minnesota for a bear hunt and have taken it in Wisconsin bowhunting. Battery lasts a long time

After ordering a 256gb SD card and charging the camcorder I was anxious to put it to the test. Couple of notes, Canon has specific requirements for the optional SD storage card, I ordered a Scandisk and it works perfectly. The larger SD provides for a whopping 22 hours of video at the highest resolution. Initial charging took about 3 hours and the built in battery monitor said that I had 32 minutes of recording time at full charge. After recording for more than an hour it still shows 50% so possibly a glitch in the meter, battery life so far has been excellent. This camcorder is small and lightweight. In fact it is a little too small for my big hands but that's not a big deal to me as my wife will likely do most of the recording. Operation is very simple and straight forward. The touch screen works well and was a surprise given the size of the screen and again my big hands. It is quite intuitive which is nice as the manual is limited with a suggestion that you visit Canon's site for a full manual. Not a big deal but in the 4 days I've had the camcorder, Canon's site has been down. Ok now the fun part, with much trepidation I gave the camcorder to my 12 year old grandson and asked him to use it in our pool during a swim party with his friends. Figured there is no better way to test the waterproof features in the real world. The results are outstanding, absolutely stunning high definition pictures underwater with no problems as the kids jumped and swam. Especially interesting to me was the quality of the audio that the built in mike provided. Once finished, Canon recommends wiping the camcorder off with a soft cloth and rincing it with clean water to remove any chemicals or salt. Following their recommendations, everything works perfectly. Cant wait to get over to some of the lakes near us and do a little recording. Given the size, ease of use, quality of video and waterproof performance I can easily recommend this device to anybody who likes to capture video regardless of use in or out of water.

Great little camera for the price. Digital zoom works well as well as built in mic. Best camera for the price. You could get more features and 4K but you would have to spend 2 or 3 times the price. Hard to find a good standard use video camera any more. This one fits the bill.

I bought this to record my 14 year old daughter's soccer games and it has been perfect. Great zoom and quality. Would definitely recommend.

I ended up returning this camera. I was mainly using it as a webcam for online video. It worked fine, but was no different from the camera I had purchased 8 years ago. It is a good camera as far as being a video camera
