Glad to See Disney to start releasing the older Marvel movies on 4K for my enjoyment. Everyone should know about the movie already. I never had this on bluray, so I can't compare the two in video quality. Surround sound is good but I don't think they added much to the Atmos track, but merely a transfer over. I didn't notice much or anything significant in the top channels. Regardless, if you love the Marvel movies you should pick it regardless of my opinion.

I originally bought this in 2011 it was released - good first entry of the character - Marvel's origin stories are always top notch and this one is no different - MCU gets better with every new title -- unfortunately the original disc I had got scratched and I have no idea where to get it buffed off / out :'( but good $$ spent to replace; also like portrayal of Red Skull by Hugo Weaving (he also makes a cameo in Endgame)

Most, if not all have seen the movie; yet I believe that one, "message" that can be taken from this movie, is from a scene where the main protagonist, (Captain America) is speaking with the scientist, the night before the procedure, in the barracks. Pay attention to this scene and take what you want from it. Obviously this is fantasy, yet it is enjoyable to see how the writers (expanded) on truth and myth of that era...

Iron Man and Thor came first, but Captain America: The First Avenger was the first movie that really made it clear that these superhero movies were going to be more than a fad. The earlier movies feel a little unformed compared to everything that comes after this one. CGI skinny Steve Rogers doesn't hold up as well as you might remember, but this is arguably the best standalone comic book movie ever made.

I am a huge movie fan. I have more movies on the shelf than I care to admit. I held off converting my DVD's to Blu-Ray, but now I'm switching over to 4K. It's amazing!! In doing so, I'm getting the steel box edition of my all time favorites. I really love them and can only find them at Best Buy!! Not to mention I can per-order them so I don't miss out!! I love having them shipped right to my front door!!

My summary above says it all. So excited to see these MCU films finally all trickling their way on to the 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray format. This movie plays out like an old school Indiana Jones feature telling the story of the Cap. What makes this release so special is the fact that it’s now in 4K, upgraded audio to Atmos and this amazing looking steelbook with awesome cover artwork. How can you beat this?!

Captain America was always more then just a super hero, he was America’s hero. I love that this movie is also a period piece. Just adds another element. Making this the perfect standout from any other Marvel (character) stand alone film. This movie sets the tone to what is yet to come in a string of fabulous movies to follow. Outstanding picture, sound, and origin story.

This is one of my favorite Marvel Films and Steelbooks! The original UK STEEL had this same design without the American flag, which took away from the design immensely. I had to get this one to replace that. The 4K imagery is very good, the darker palette making the brights pop more, and giving better color gradation. Overall, I'm very happy with this and can't wait for the others.

I have always loved the MCU movies, with the Cap movies being my favorites. Although I thought this was the weakest Cap movie, there just wasn’t enough action for me, it’s still an excellent movie. Just the way they digitally shrunk Chris Evans down is worth the price of admission alone. Compared to the Blu-Ray, the 4K stands out with brighter colors and much sharper textures.

I need a high definition monitor to go with my Blu Ray DVD player. Right now I am using my old computer monitor. I would love to get a 32" diagonal HD monitor to display Blu Ray DVDs.

I remember i first watch the first avenger me and my dad went to go rent it at redbox but the end was scratch but i got on bluray and i was able to watch it and it was good i give 9/10

I never get tired of watching this movie. This is the first movie in the trilogy of Marvel Comics Captain America films (Captain America: The First Avenger; Captain America: The Winter Soldier; Captain America: Civil War), and with Chris Evans in the lead, it is destined to remain a favorite. The Steelbook Edition is a nice touch with a great cover.

I was told from a couple of friends that the first captain America wasn’t that great and was actually kinda bad but I ended up loving it. Now it does have its silly parts like when he first gains his strength and runs really fast, it almost looks as though the just fast forwarded the film at that point, other than moment like this it is a fantastic movie.

I love the origin stories of all the Avengers and this one, while sometimes a bit cheesy in the dialogue, fits perfectly in line with Captain America and what led him to be who he is. As for the actual product, I love having the Blu-ray disc and the convenience of the digital version. Only thing I would have liked to have is more special features.

Saw this in the theater but never owned it on blu ray. I figured it was good enough to buy, might as well get it on 4K. Liked it much better the second time around. It's a feel good movie and carries a certain appeal to it. Glad to own it. The picture is not bad for a 4K transfer. The audio has the oomph to it at a certain volume.

If you're new to the Marvel Universe, this is one of the first movies you should treat yourself to...Cap is a foundational character to many of the successor films and indispensable to the Avengers story arc. If not, this movie is just a lot of fun for comics fans and can be seen again and again, with new twists popping up each time.

Captain America: First Avenger is a great movie to me and the best of the Captain America films. I like the WWII setting a lot. The transfer is not a major uptick over the Blu-ray but with subtle HDR, I like it. Sound on Disney/Marvel usually requires to turn the volume up. The steelbook can have dents so beware but it is nice.

Saw this in theaters and finally bought it. Buying this helped to complete our Marvel collection and I thought it was a good movie. I am not a big Captain America fan (It's all about Doctor Strange and Ironman/Tony Stark!) but that didn't stop me from enjoying the movie. If you are a Marvel fan, get this to complete your collections like I did!

This is one of the best steelbooks I’ve ever seen. The pictures don’t do it justice. In person, the cover looks like it’s a slightly weathered propaganda poster from WW2. This is also one of the most criminally underlooked MCU films. Hopefully the trend of re-releasing MCU films in 4K steelbooks continues because I will buy every single one.

Chances are you have seen the movie and checking out the review to see if its worth the 4K jump. For the right price, absolutely, it looks great and the HDR and Audio improvements make it a worthwhile purchase. However they have burned me too many times with these tricksy launches. The first movie comes out and i buy to support physical 4K releases and shortly thereafter the trilogy gets released and i should have waited to save money. Wait the trilogy isn't released here, only in the UK for 1/2 the the US price! thankfully 4K is region free, so in the future I'll wait for the inevitable Iron Man trilogy release.
