Tom Hanks played a great Cpt Phillips. His quick thinking and actions aboard ship saved lives and allowed for rescue. I really appreciated the true story of Cpt Phillips on aboard the ship in the East Indian Ocean.

Can't beat a great Tom Hanks drama. His portrayal of Captain Phillips was great. Even though it was a true story and you knew how it would end, it was still a gripping storyline and well portrayed.

The movie had a great story with excellent acting. The story was interesting and should be watched by everyone. Tom hanks was great in this movie as captain Phillips. He brought this character to life! High recommended

Captain Phillips is a fantastic story of real life accounts. While I'm sure there were details changed from the original occurrences, they did a great job with it. Cinematography was great, and top notch performances.

It really felt like the audience was there watching this unfold, kind of like a news crew was filming. If this kind of thing happens as often as I suspect it does, we need to dedicate more money toward security.

While this is not something I would normally watch, I felt the need to see Tom Hanks in this movie. I was not disappointed as he does an excellent job at portraying a character who is non-fictional. This true story is portrayed by actions that are horrific, but keep you interested throughout the whole movie. Excellent production!!

I knew the story so I wanted to see what the movie was going to be about and how accurate it was. It was an awesome movie and one cannot fit everything into a movie, so this movie was perfect. I would recommend it!

I had a gift card to use, and I wanted to see this movie. Months have passed, and I still haven't watched it. As a product review, it's just a Blu-Ray. I sincerely doubt that it is defective. Movies are completely subjective, so product reviews are not reliable anyway. I'll still take the 25 rewards points for reviewing it though.

Very exciting movie with great acting. While the story is known from the media, the movie brought out some details that gave you a better sense of what Captain Phillips and his crew went through in their ordeal.

This was film based on the true events of an American ship being captured by Somali pirates. The story literally had you on the edge of your seat waiting to see the final outcome. I highly recommend this movie!

I felt the movie failed to quite live up to it's billing, as one of the best in 2013. I felt the conversation between the two boat captains was not really believable at times. The writers made the Somali boat captain, who was portrayed as an experienced large boat pirate, seem a little too easily manipulated by Tom Hanks' character.

Based on true events, Tom Hanks delivers like no other. No crazy special special effects needed. Just great acting, if you anything about the real events that happened, this will def make you cry at the end...

The scariest part is that it was based on a true story. I love those type of movies the best even if they have depressing scenes. All actors did a great job.

This movie was very good. Tom Hanks did an amazing job, the story is great, the filming, the acting, everything. Shows the courage, determination, and strength of our US Armed Forces, so another major plus!

Well I don't have to tell you, the movie reviews speak for themselves, this movie delivers conscious action while keeping it realistic all in a stable atmosphere of the integrated part of the scenery.

I was really impressed with Barkhad Abdi. His acting was great and I hope to see him in more films. Even though I knew how this ended the movie was still exciting. I have watched this movie more than once.

The movie had lots of action in it and it was based on a true story, but it had inaccurate parts. It does give people a better idea of what is going on in Somalia and the pirate activities in those waters.

Absoloutely, riveting movie. Tom Hanks at his best. I will watch this movie again. Saved money by buying and watching this movie at home. Blue Ray is excellent. One of the best movies I've seen this year.
