I thought this was an excellent movie. Superior acting by Tom Hanks, and the fact that it was based on true life events just made it that much better. Would definitely recommend to friends.

Hard to believe that this was based on a true event. Rather troubling that piracy of this nature exits today. And without giving away the ending (although you know the story if you followed the news), Ton Hanks' final scene as he experiences the shock of what has transpired is stunning.

This movie had kept me started to watch what was going to happen. When you think they have it beat more happens. Great plot twists, and the fact that it is based on a true story is crazy.

One of the best movies we have seen in years. Tom Hanks was phenomenal and the movie was suspenseful from beginning to end, even though it was based on a true story and we knew the outcome. Filming and camera angles were so good you didn't want to turn away. Worth even a premium price to purchase.

Captain Phillips is completely worthy of its praise. The last 4 minutes of the movie is mind-blowing acting from Mr. Hanks. I cannot anticipate anyone being disappointed with this movie.

This was one of my favorite movies of the year. Tom Hanks was great as well as Barkhad Abdi. There is non stop suspense from when the pirates take over the ship. Definitely recommended.

Sometimes you hear great things about a movie and you are disappointed, not the case with Captain Phillips. The movie seemed very realistic (not over the top action) and Tom Hanks gave a very believable performance. If you're interested in this movie, pick it up. It's exactly what you expect.

I rented this movie randomly to see why it drew so many positive reviews. After that I knew I had to own it. The picture and audio are perfect.

Cinematography at the best! The director's' shooting technique makes viewers part of the action. Tom Hanks acting is wonderful. The Academy nominations of this movie are well deserved.
