I love movies based on true stories. I remember the story of this movie briefly because I was deployed when they showed Captain Phillips being rescued with the Navy t shirt on. it's a great movie with suspense. everyone purchase it.

This is definitely one of his better movies! I'm impressed with those that serve and protect our country and citizens! And I'm super impressed with how Tom Hanks is able to share this beautiful story! I was in tears by the end!

The movie was a good choice. I was very interested throughout and did not get bored. My grandson came in while I was watching it and we started it over and watched it again. He never sits through an entire movie. He did for this one.

Tom Hanks does one of his best performances in the last 10 years in this movie!! It is so intense and moving you will be on the edge of your seat the entire length of the film!! It's looks and sounds amazing on Blu-ray!

Kept me at the edge of my seat for the first half... the middle of the movie felt too long but it makes sense as they made it seem like it was 1 night when it was 4 days they held him hostage. Good ending. Great movie based on true story. Yes I'd recommend. The most I'd spend for this movie would be $10 $7.99 is the sweet spot.

Finally got to see this movie. I enjoyed watching this reenactment of a true story. It’s well done and Tom Hanks is always great.

Based in a real life modern day pirate story, this was entertaining! The story was mostly centered on Tom Hanks character, captain Phillips, on how he faced the ordeal. So action scenes are quite limited. It is the challenges that all the characters faced and endured that make this movie entertaining to watch.

The fact this movie is based on a true story and is also a part of current events happening in the world give this movie a great impact. It is one of my favorites and have watched it three times. would definitely recommend.

Being based on a true event it is extraordinary what goes on in the movie. It is arguably one of the best movies I've ever watched and it exposes us too something that happens more often than we think.

I like movies based on true stories and actual happenings. Tom Hanks plays the part so well. It is difficult to understand, with the existence of piracy, why the ship's crew had no protection. It is a memorable show to watch.

Paul Greengrass' 2013 docudrama is ridiculously underrated; it might be better than his 2006 thriller United 93, and Tom Hanks gives one of his 3 or 4 best performances. The Blu-ray, too, faithfully serves this story.

I wasn't sure I would like this movie based on the previews. It appeared to be one of those movies where they would show all of the good parts in the previews, and I was thinking what could they spend two hours covering on a ship. But I did end up liking the movie. They kept things interesting and I am glad I bought the movie. I would recommend it.

This movie is amazing. Great true story about special forces saving captain Phillips from pirates. The action and tension starts right away in this film and keeps you on the edge of your seat all movie long. Great film!

Tom Hanks was great as usual. I think the acting in general was super and the action scenes were realistic. I enjoy movies about real situations and this one kept me on the edge of my seat even though I knew the outcome.

Bought this as part of a 3 for $20 deal, I had seen it before and enjoyed the movie so thought I would purchase for my collection. Like the fact that Ultraviolet version is included, now I can watch anywhere.
