Plenty of fun puzzles and Toad finally gets his fun little game.
Kind of disappointed it's a Copy Paste of some things from Super Mario 3D Land which is cheap/Lazy on nintendo's end.
Lacking Multiplayer but atleast it was a cheaper game...
Still worth the money but might recommend it on sale or used instead of New unless you have Gamer's Club.

I was hesitant in buying this game and now I am glad I did. The puzzles are creative and the environments remind of me of the Mario galaxy games. I recommend anyone who likes puzzles to pick this one up. My only gripe is that we cannot turn of the gamepad camera. Some puzzles were a little harder because of the use of the gamepad.

This is a great buy if you love puzzle games! With MC Escher styled maps that ooze Mario charm, this game is addictive and made me want to find all the gems and bonus objectives. I would start every map by just flicking the camera around looking for cubby holes and secrets. This is a great standalone game and worth the purchase.

I'm huge fan of all the Mario games and have been saying for years that there needed to be a game with Captain Toad and this game is great! Some puzzles are easy but most require more than just a passing thought or two. Just wish there were more levels. Finished the game within a few days but still love playing it over and over!

Captain Toad was one of the funnest games I've played in the last year. It has a fun charm to it and I didn't mind playing all the courses a second (or in some cases a third or fourth) time to complete all the challenges. I had so much fun with it that I wouldn't mind if Nintendo put out a new Captain Toad every other year!

This is a good small game for the price. The super mario 3d world levels are a good bonus.

Captain Toad's Treasure Tracker is a fun, quirky title in the Wii U library. It won't take long for you to understand the game mechanics and you should pick up on how to use the GamePad quickly. Colorful levels, unique levels and puzzles make this a relaxing, fun casual game for both kids and adults.

Captain Toad was a wonderful mini-game in Super Mario 3D World and I am very glad they made it into a solo adventure game. It provides challenging levels, not just for kids but for teens and adults as well! Replay value is excellent and this is a must have for anyone that enjoys fun, adventure games!

If you are a lover of puzzle games with lots of spirit and fun as well as adventure, you are in for a big treat. This game features the main character Captain Toad the Treasure Tracker who walks his way through every level, allowing you to change the camera angle and find so many secrets, it becomes fun in a big way. Especially if you are a lover of collecting things and completing games.

Great idea by Nintendo for taking the bonus levels of Super Mario 3d world and applying them to that which makes Captain Toad. Goofy and Fun in HD with puzzles that go from introductory to pretty challenging. Here's hoping the Toad amiibo will add something extra to this game that's a great value.

I loved all the captain toad missions in super Mario 3d world and could not wait for this game to come out. And it is what I could wish for and then some. Gameplay is great and also will have amiibo support shortly. I highly recommend this for anyone looking for a well balanced puzzle game.

Certainly not as challenging as I would have liked, but it makes up for it with charm. The levels are just short enough to do a few in a row and put it down. Great for using the game pad screen when you have something on the TV. In fact it's one of the only games I've found that allows me to balance both watching football, TV shows etc., and playing the game on the pad.

This is a great game. There is no need to talk about its merits as you can already find it everywhere else. Just a few complaints:
1. The control is really bad in many places and the game designer has been very inconsiderate with this regard. For example, many stages require you to turn a steering wheel by using touch pad to move objects around. The movement is so insensitive that you have to scrabble many circles the touch screen. All other control keys are frozen when you are turning the wheel. The big problem is that enemies constantly keep attacking you while you are scratching the touch screen like crazy, which won't be done in few seconds. This is as annoying as being attacked while you are adjusting your loadouts in a shooting game, except that you cannot even find a quiet place to do this because the steering wheel is located in an enemy-heavy area and the enemy cannot be eliminated by game mechanism. In the meanwhile, using the touchpad to steer the wheel is totally unnecessary and counter-intuitive because the same action could have been done by rotating the D-pad (right now you cannot use your D-pad any way because all controls are frozen while you are steering)
2. The viewpoint will be changed when you move your gamepad and the feature cannot be disabled. This is extremely unfriendly in stages involve intensive actions, as your viewpoint is changed by accidental hand trembling or unintentional movement of gamepad. The requirement to hold the gamepad stationary all the time is another example that the game designer is inconsiderate compared with other Mario series games. Besides, this feature is almost useless throughout the game since many stages require you to rotate the scene by 360 degree to get a complete view, while your gamepad movement can only rotate the world by a small degree and is too inaccurate to rely on when you are playing action intensive stages.
3. The plot and cutscenes are repetitive. Basically all the three episodes blatantly reuses the same prologue, epilogue and cutscenes. There are only two bosses in the game and used repetitively in the game. Even the semi-final and final stages in each episode are repetitive too. All these make you feel that the developers are trying to cut cost really hard, which depart the game from other classic pieces in Mario series.

This game adds to the story that started in the game Super Mario 3D World. It's fun and just challenging enough for all ages, but not so hard that you want to give up. There is a lot of content for a $40 game. Just when you think the game is over another section opens up. If you enjoy the Mario games you will like Toad's game as well. A must buy for the Wii U.

I enjoyed the smaller version of this game in mario 3d world, and this game takes that and evolves it greatly. While the first half of the game I found really easy the 2nd run through was more challenging and just as fun. My only complaint is that it really did end short.

Great game, plays as a puzzle game that throws you a curve ball every other stage. My sister plays it more than I do however every so often I see her come across a stage that I cannot see a child younger then 15 try to pass with all materials. Overall GREAT game and Great humor!

Fortunately for us all this game doesn't fall short into the category of New games filled w bugs. Glitches, & emptiness. Captain Toad TT is a great example of how Nintendo can take a great yet simple idea & turn it into an experience that is fun for all ages. Perhaps one might think its a childish character & therefore a childs game. My two yr old nephew loves the graphics &. Sounds, I love the complexity of puzzle & strategy. Which turns the notion this game is made w children in mind on it's head. No child could beat this game wo an adults help & even then the complexity in the levels see tricky enough to fool anyone.
Best $39.99 game ever made. Nintendo honored
its fanbase w this nice holiday gift. A game of Nintendo's quality for the price of a used PS2 game.
Buy it!

This game has a great platform, it utilizes the Wii U capabilities really well! Not to mention it is really fun, and different with the idea of the 3D cubes, and story book idea broken into chapters. It isn't hard at all so it is perfect for new gamers.
