this a horror film get you you scared from scene to scene

The events does bring the movie into the present day , with the action being revved up for todays viewers. All-in-all I liked the original better because of it's unique idea on ESP.

The whole film waits for the last fifteen minutes to become interesting. By then you are wishing you were at Carrie's prom.

I love the original Carrie and read all the reviews for this one. Everyone was raving about how good the updated movie is and how great this transcends into our time. I made it through the movie but I had to fight very hard not to fall asleep. At the grande finale, Carrie reminded me more at a random pointing toddler than at anything else. Watch the original instead, it is thousand times better.

It has some special features and special effects, but the movie is terrible compared to the original.

Good storyline but almost word for word like original

A poor retelling of a great movie. Sometimes a movie's best left in it's original form. This copy did nothing to make me want to watch, instead, I looked for mistakes in the production. I want my money back!

I didn't like the movie because it didn't hold my attention and it was a very bad remake of the original movie with Sissy Spacek.

For what it was, this was a really good film. It's nothing to redefine the genre. But if you're just looking for a fun way to spend 100 minutes, then this is a good choice.

Hesitant to buy this as some remakes are terrible, but they did it right, I liked that they made the script to include today's society problems, to also include characters with a heart & Julianne Moore played a great crazy mom. Glad I bought this, it is a great remake.
