Me and my son loved playing Cars 2 on the Xbox 360 when I saw this game come out it looks similar to Cars 2 in the style of play. This one is very similar to Cars 2 with slightly better graphics. They have many of the same modes like Battle Race which is really fun. Also in the free play mode there are things to do like collecting items to unlock cars and entering different battle modes available right on the course. My son loves Pokemon and it is really hard to get him to play anything else but since getting Cars 3 he hasn't stopped playing it so I think it was a good purchase. The only thing that seems to be lacking are a few game modes that I miss from Cars 2 such as blow up the opponent's base and the battle arena mode where there were waves of enemies you had to defeat. Also there are far less cars to unlock Cars 2 probably had over 50 this one only has about 20 and I'm not familiar with the characters yet as the movie has not come out so hopefully they will have some DLC that adds maybe another 20 cars or so. My biggest gripe comes in the form of wishing this game had local area network where if you have two switch consoles and two copies of the game they could communicate like Mario Kart and you could play each other with your own screen instead of having to use split screen. I bought two copies just for that reason but was disappointed to find out that mode is not offered. The Nintendo switch is a console but it's also a handheld so they really need to include that mode because it's likely that a family will have more than one switch and we'll take it on the go like during road trips. Overall this is a really fun game for kids and adults. I think if you are a Car's fan or if you have kids that like Cars this game is just as fun as Mario Kart if not more fun.

Let's face it, you can't beat Mario Kart, but you're never going to catch it on sale for under $20 either, so here's a break down of what these games offer: Mario Kart over Cars 3: Online up to 12 players; link two Switches for up to 8 players. Cars 3 only has 4 player local Cars 3 over Mario Kart: Cars 3 has Takedown mode where up to four of you follow computer cars and compete on how many you can blow up (so a game mode where you are focused on blowing up computer cars instead of each other--lots of explosions--it's fun!!!). Cars 3 has an open sandbox track where you can just drive around and pull off tricks and maneuvers. For me, there's enough difference to the games that they are both worth picking up, especially if you have little ones.

My kids love to play Mario Cart with the family. My daughter is 9 and my son is 4. We went to a arcade and my son said he wanted a new car game after we played cruising USA. So we went to Best buy and as a huge Cqrs fan this is the game he selected. You only have to read my summary to know he hated it. Thanks he controls are not friendly and despite being a switch game their are no motion controls so our switch steering wheel are just useless. He could not stay on the track and the graphics are much worse than any game I've ever seen on the switch. Disney if you are reading this can I get a refund?

I bought this game as an alternative to Mario Kart. My son (6 years old) loves the Cars characters and Mario Kart, so it sounds like a good mix. Its a fun game with good graphics, but the initial difficulty level is very high, and much of the game is not unlocked. He was frustrated early in the game and hardly played it. I unlocked a lot of the game for him, and he plays it more now, but the mechanics of the game are simply not as fun as Mario Kart. Its worth a few hours of play, but if you are looking for some fun games for younger players, I would recommend Lego City Undercover or Mario Kart.

My son loves the franchise (so do I) and thought he would really enjoy racing as "Lightning McQueen." Right out of the box there were issues with the software crashing and freezing. This was an absolute waste of money and clearly frustrating for my little guy. No other game has ever had this effect on my console.

I love this game because there are so many levels and a fun battle mode. It simply isn’t one track, but many and cup races with so many cars to chose. Playing on our emotions the cars have eyes and faces and as I thought this was a easy game, no way. Its challenging and has easy mode as well. With all the tracks there are many level ups and the fun is constant with this one. I am loving it!

Cars 3 is a fun game for kids as long as they enjoy the cars 3 universe. Jumping and crashing while trying to win the race is fun, but not nearly on the same spectrum as what makes Mario kart headlights and tailgates above other arcade racers. Would really like to see updates with the cars 2 crew like Miguel Camino, shu todoroki, max schnell, etc. Time will tell.

I bought the game thinking that my kids can race each other. However, you cannot use the wiiU wheels from best buy with this game. I don't even recall if the game had a multiplayer option either. The game is pretty cool though if you don't mind the single player option. We barely played the game.

I have played many Disney games but this one is spot on. It captures the charming aspects of the movie and is an excellent racer. I wish the voice overs were done by the actual cast and the graphics could be better but it is highly enjoyable if your a fan of the series. There is a ton of stuff to unlock and many game modes to keep the action going.

This game is surprisingly large for a made from movie video game. Various game modes and nice roster set. However, some controller hiccups and even some moments of frame rate issues plague what could be a blast of an experience. Luckily my son doesn't care and just enjoys controlling Lightning McQueen and Cruz Ramirez too much to care!

It has a surprising array of things to do and challenges, although the master level events are quite hard. It has some cutscenes that "kinda" continue the Cars 3 story a bit, but overall it's a nice alternative to Mario Kart 8 if you already have it on the Wii U. Runs well on the switch.

Our youngest boys, 7 & 10, received this game and love it! They have played with friends, cousins, uncles, and even both grandfathers! Mrs. Fritter is a huge favorite as well as the battle level. We are very pleased with this purchase!

I bought Cars 3 Driven to Win for my 6 year old because he loves the Cars movies and toys. There's parts of the game that he has a hard time with, but he can still play the game and loves it.

An ok racing game. What bothers me and my kids are ZR used for acceleration, too much talking in the background, and voice over that aren't original. It's even worst if you expect driving dynamics of Super Mario Cart 8. At just over $20, it's an ok game.

I had bought the Steering Wheel adapters for this, thinking it would work to drive the cars. However, turns out that this game doesn't support motion control. I believe only Mart Kart 8 does. Nonetheless, the kids still love this game and keep going back to it.

This is a really fun game, great content from the movies. From cars to courses it looks great. If you are looking for a racing game that is easier for kids, then it is still going to be Mario Kart, but this game is definitely fun and more challenging.

if you have a kid that's into the Car franchise, then you'll cant go wrong with a Cars game. You have the option to race with a large number of different characters from the Cars movie. Racing and Cars characters, what kid doesnt like that?

Compared to previous games this one is lack-luster at best. With minimal innovation, and a lack of the open world gameplay that made the original cars 1 game so fun i was greatly disappointed. If you're looking for a race game on switch stay with mario kart

We haven't played this game a lot yet but based on what we played so far, it's a pretty good game. The beginning was a bit different and you couldn't go straight into the game. It had a 1 player tutorial that we weren't aware of.

Cars 3 Road to victory is a solid racing game. It lacks online multiplayer, but still, it has a lot of content and its many tracks and characters are a faithful adaptation of what we´ve seen in the movies. A game for everyone in the family.
