I enjoyed this movie a lot, as with most Pixar animations. Watch a trailer of the film to see if you'd like it too. As for the SteelBook aspect (as compared to other releases), the SteelBook is a great value when you can catch it on sale. The SteelBook comes with the 4k UDH Blu-ray, which has a great picture, but also comes with a 1080p Blu-ray for older devices. Best of all, this includes a digital copy that you can register with your services like Vudu, Movies Anywhere, and Apple Movies (previously iTunes). The digital copy is in 4k where available, so it is a great option if you do not have a 4k UHD Blu-ray player, but do have a 4k streaming device, like AppleTV, Roku, or Amazon Fire Stick.

    Cars to me is Pixar

Ive always loved Cars, it, to me is the ultimate Pixar creation. Amazing how they animated cars, gave them personalities, back stories and emotion. Top that off with breath taking scenery which was impossible to create just a few years earlier. Love how they used actual locations to inspire and recreate the nostalgia of route 66. The reason I believe the sequels arent as popular is because they are themed on the racing, not the personalties and romanticism of small towns like those along route 66. I have bought it in DVD, BluRay and Im starting a 4K collection because i know its just a matter of time before I finally get a 4K (Still love my Sony 1080 HD's) Saw the 65 inch Oled and knew Cars would have to be in that collection, and if any movie cries out for steelcase is Cars. Will probably be the first movie i play when i finally get that 4k.

Cars was a good, family-friendly film when it came out, and it looks great on 4K! The steelbook packaging and disc art are excellent and, in my opinion, this package well worth the upgrade from the old DVD or Blu-ray set if you have a 4K TV. Characters are funny and retain their charm on future viewings. The animation is colorful and attractive, sure to bring enjoyment and capture the imagination of audiences young and old!

    A 4K Upgrade Worth A Purchase

What an upgrade! I owned the original Blu-ray and it was nice, for sure. But the 4K and HDR treatment here is phenomenal. Add to that an immersive audio track courtesy of Dolby Atmos, and the film becomes a new experience for fans who have seen this film before. The opening race scene lets you know immediately what the 4K UHD Blu-ray offers over the previous iterations of this film on home media. It's fantastic. The crowd cheers while the cars roar around the room. Low frequency effects are sprinkled throughout that will occasionally rumble the room. Add to that the exclusive Steelbook packaging and a very low price (I purchased this during a holiday sale), and you just cannot pass it up. I am so glad I upgraded this movie in my collection. Highly recommended.

    Excellent video quality 4k movie

Cars looks great on the UHD format, and most all of its excellence can be attributed to the HDR color spectrum. The HDR color spectrum is a boon for the image. Take a look at the film's title card, which is "Cars" painted onto a race track. The add to color depth is striking. Not only is the red far deeper and punchier but the surrounding gray pavement enjoys a significant boost to its scale, too. The cars look lovely under the bright racing lights. The sheen is spectacular, the colors pop with amazing authority, and various overlaid graphics seen during the TV broadcast segments dazzle. The first race is nothing short of a visual treat, with all of those luscious colors -- reds, greens, blues, yellows -- enjoying some serious brilliance that make the Blu-ray's SDR colors appear washed out and dull in comparison. The image dazzles along the way to Radiator Springs, such as when several cars with neon accents cause some mayhem that results in McQueen being jettisoned from his trailer, "Mack," and eventually winding up in the dusty has-been town of Radiator Springs. Building façades and the earthy terrain around town find a new gear for color depth and accuracy while the various new cars McQueen meets, including the rusted and worn Mater, are all HDR highlights for their own peculiarities and place on the color wheel. Whites dazzle and blacks are superbly deep. While the increase in resolution does little for the presentation, the HDR colors allow the movie to leap to another level. This is a very worthwhile upgrade, even if the majority of the upgrade falls into a single category.

I am an adult and I just found this movie amazing, from story line to technical quality. I'm not that much a fan of the squeals. BB had this 4K version on sale (apparently one day) for next to nothing. I already had the Blu-ray version which looks great, but the 4K on my OLED LG is even better. The Atmos sound track is not that much better than the Blu-ray, but there are some scenes where it shines. If Atmos is the only reason to get the 4K version it is not worth it even at the sale price. It is the picture quality in 4K HDR that is worth it.

As a general rule, I don't like NASCAR. The beginning definitely shows everything I find obnoxious about NASCAR, but I stuck with it because my little ones like things with wheels. I was glad I stuck with the movie. The character development is a fun journey as you discover each character, complex and simple. The scenery is quite nice too - although I'm pretty certain no one location along Route 66 has ALL of the things in the movie in such close proximity (maybe I'm wrong and if I am, I'd love to know where I should be planning a future vacation). Overall it was a fun family movie and my children love it.

Disney and Pixar re-released a Blu-ray DVD combo pack for a lot of their movies Cars being one of them. I have cars on a DVD combo pack and that was a great combo pack. This is a Blu-ray DVD reissue and it is excellent. You have a broad range of actors in this movie Owen Wilson's playing Lightning McQueen Michael Keaton playing Chick Hicks. Paul Newman playing Doc Hudson. Larry the Cable Guy playing Tow Mater, and a variety of other people. What the broad range of actor is a great script This was meant to be a classic by Pixar. If your big fan of Pixar and Disney this is definitely a must-have I give it five stars because you can't not like this movie.

    One of Pixar's Best Films!

Cars is an amazing edition to the Pixar universe. In this movie, pixar takes a character who is very selfish/impatient at first, transforms into a character we all love. Pixar does great world building with the animation. In the story, this town we're in for most of the film is suppose to be very old, and pixar put those tiny details, such as cracks in the pavement and paint looking old. Cars is an amazing movie to show you younger children!

Although this is an animated movie, the story and moral are enjoyable for kids, teens, and adults alike. Humorous, exciting, and touching - this movie definitely fulfills the feel-good expectations of a good Disney movie. We have watched it so many times over the years that we know most the lines before they are spoken; and yet, we continue to look forward to watching it again.
