I probably saw this movie three or four times on TV. It's a movie that I always told myself that I would buy, and I finally did! Its a good example of the acting skills of the famous, old black & white movie actors. It's sort of a "beginning of WWII" drama that gets you wondering if it might actually be based on a true story???

One of the best movies of all time , my family and I really enjoyed watching a real classic..!!

An old classic movie. Set in early 1940s Europe. It stars Humphrey Bogart, and Ingrid Bergman. Won an Academy Award for Best Picture. One of the best movies ever made. Highly recommended.

One of the best movies ever. Perfect casting. Intelligently written. Not perfectly but who questions letters of transit. You don't question it. The dialog is clever and naturally funny in places. Fabulous music from the piano to that French song sung so passionately. I'm not telling about the movie because you should watch it. If you have seen it this review is useless. One interesting note. My father-in-law was suffering from Allezhiemer's. He had no short time memory at all. But he could watch this movie and remember it from watching it on the big screen when it came out. He pointed out pieces that I missed watching the DVD. Unfortunately after the movie was over he couldn't remember watching it. So you never know. Probably watched 20 times with him. Same reaction each time. Buy the DVD (or BluRay) and enjoy it.

Set in World War II we see the desperation of those fleeing the war. The classic scene where the duel between the French and German national anthems were genuine having most of the actors experiencing things first hand. We are also treated to some of the iconic lines in cinema. So "Here's looking at you kid" and enjoy.

This film is often ranked as the best movie ever made. Not sure about that but it is truly an outstanding film with an exceptional cast. I have watched this film several times and each time I find another one liner that I hadn't noticed before. I was surprised to find this available at Best Buy but it was.

The video has been remastered so it looks very clear. The audio mixing favors the soundtrack (which is also a classic) so the dialog is hard to understand sometimes. Especially sice everyone has an accent. But there is CC. Apparently they couldn't afford shots of real planes flying, so that looks pretty fake. Other than that it holds up well.

What I can say about Casablanca? After I've seen it on TCM numerous times, it's still one of the most romantic and classy love stories on screen of all times!

If you have never seen this movie, it's a must. So many one liners came out of this movie. It's a love story with a twist so even guys like me who are not fans of love stories will like it.

I love having this movie in our collection. Every once in a while a person just needs a true romance chick-flick. I will never get tired of this movie. They just don't make them like this any more.

This movie is a fantastic love story. If you haven't seen this yet, please rent or buy. This is the beginning stories of love. Great acting, story, picture. Amazing!

One of the greatest films made, with a first rate cast. It provides a history lesson for those not old enough to appreciate WWII setting and issues.

Very good movie for your collection. You can enjoy it several times.

This is a timeless love story. The chemistry is hot. The man chooses what is best for the love of his life. The ending is heart- breaking but brave.

If you haven't seen Casablanca, you are missing out on one of the real classics!! Get it, make some popcorn and enjoy!!!
