We exchanged it just to have it happen again. No liquid was visibly leaking but the air bubble continued to get bigger. She stopped using the second one a couple of months later because the bubble was so big.

At this moment, we don't have a tutorial on how to remove the cases, but if you press firmly down on the right or left corner (at the bottom of the bottom of the phone), the case will shift back eventually coming off. In the event the case breaks while trying to remove it, please submit a warranty claim at www.Case-Mate.com and we will process your claim and send you a new replacement under your lifetime warranty. I GOOGLED IT AND SURE ENOUGH SAW WHAT HAPPENS IF THEY CRACK OR BREAK. I CALLED CASEMATE AND THEY CONFIRMED THAT IF THEIR CASES BREAK THE GLITTER AND OIL WILL NOT BURN YOU BUT IF IT GETS INTO YOUR PHONE, KISS IT GOOD-BYE.
