I’m a fan of using some type of finger grip on my iPhone with case on. The Castify grip is a little pricey, but it fits the reasons why I use it. I also really liked the idea of removing it when I want a clean look to my iPhone, but when I need a reliable finger grip, this Castify grip works!

Highlights: * Attractive style * Comfortable rubbery texture * Stable when used as a kickstand * Strong magnet * Works with MagSafe-compatible phones and cases Considerations: * Must be removed to charge phone wirelessly or mount * Does not rotate/swivel * Not very thin As phones get bigger, holding onto them gets to be more of a challenge. Grips like this one make it much easier by hooking over your fingers or sliding your fingers under it to hold your phone more easily. This grip stand firmly snaps onto to your MagSafe phone or compatible case and folds flat when you don’t need it. When you do need it, it pops up to make holding your phone easier. It even has a position where it can be used to prop up your phone in Landscape or Portrait orientation. The attractive “ripple” pattern on this stand is really nice (at least to me), and the soft-touch plastic cushions the back of your phone when you put it down. Due to the thickness when folded, this grip might make it more difficult to slide into a pocket or purse as stuff might get stuck on the edges. Also, you cannot access your phone’s MagSafe through the stand so you’ll need to remove it when attaching your phone to a car MagSafe mount or charging on a MagSafe charger. Another small complaint… Since the mount cannot easily be rotated after being attached to your phone, and the stand can be attached in any rotation, you need to make sure that it is rotated properly as you’re sticking it on. The grip is completely round with “CASETIFY” text twice around the edge, but there is no indication of orientation as you’re putting it on. I’ve found the easiest way for me is to pop open the grip into the stand mode, and then attach it that way so you can make sure it’s properly oriented. I’ve seen a few competitor version that are not only much thinner and lighter, but also rotate and MagSafe even works through their grip stand so you can leave it on when charging or attaching to a MagSafe mount. Overall, this is a nice folding grip stand, but for about the same price there are better options that you can charge through and swivel around.

    Nice MagSafe accessory

The Casetify grip stand is a nice MagSafe accessory that has a strong magnet. The magnet on this thing is one of the strongest I’ve used on a MagSafe accessory and that’s a good thing. It gives you confidence that when using this thing and only holding it and not the phone that it won’t let go. If you’re a person that pockets their phone it adds very little bulk to the phone. It offers two different functions, as a grip or a stand. When using it as a stand the phone feels very secure. I got this for my girlfriend as she has the 17 Pro Max and even with a grippy case, it can be cumbersome for her as she has smaller hands. She does a lot of videos and FaceTime calls for real estate and this just helps here have a more comfortable and secure grip when recording. The one negative is if you use MagSafe charging a lot you have to remove this to charge but that’s for pretty much all MagSafe accessories. I like that it can be used in either landscape or portrait orientation. The Casetify snappy ripple grip stand is a nice inexpensive MagSafe accessory.

With a magsafe phone and case, this is simply pull out of the box and let it snap magnetically to your device. It has a rippled rubberized effect to it that will help grip on flat surfaces on its own. It pops out and magnetically snaps to a specific angle for leaning. However, that is about as far as I feel it is worth it compared to another brand that I have used. This grip stand is thick and big. The whole pop out part is bigger than the magnetic ring that most cases show, so it feels bulky. It actually weighs a fair bit more than the other one. Then, if you try to use it as a grip between fingers, it does not feel comfortable as the edges are just thin flaps that force an offset as that bulky plastic piece on the other side. Then to use it as a kick stand, it only snaps in one angle. Unlike the other branded item I use, it can’t be adjusted as it relies on the magnet to attach back to those thin strips holding it together. Overall, I feel this CASETiFY grip stand is just too bulky and very limited in its options compared to others I have used. The only thing I feel is better than the one I have is the rubber outer edge instead of hard plastic/ However, the other one has many more customizable options, so you could get a rubber one as well.

Good Looks and Quality with Two Big Flaws

To be fair, I will keep away from controversial talks about the cost of this CASETiFY grip/kickstand and go directly into my experience with it. As with the case that I acquired from the same brand, I’m satisfied with the quality and design Often, accessories that attach to iPhone MagSafe easily snaps off of it, but this one has a strong magnet that you can rely on. It is not too strong to keep you from removing it when you need to, but it certainly feels that it will not let go when you don’t want it to. The fact that it works as both a grip and a stand is great. I rarely use the grip feature, except in a few situations where it is too risky not to, and it works very well for that. Contrary to the kickstand that came with another case I purchased recently, it is a lot more stable. But to be honest, it looks a bit awkward as a stand, and it took me a while until I finally learned how to open it correctly. Until then, it felt fragile. It is not perfect though. The main con for me is that you need to remove to charge wirelessly as opposed to those built into some cases. I probably was a bit generous giving it four stars which was based a lot on looks and good magnet (both five stars in my opinion), but this issue I just mentioned plus having to figure out how to stand works (it should be more intuitive), three and half stars would be more appropriate. Since I had to choose between three and four, I decided to go with the latter.

Strong Magnet, But The Stand Needs Work

I was interested in this product for one main reason I haven’t seen from the competition: it attaches magnetically. I often prefer using my phone without a case to enjoy the raw feel of the materials, and I didn’t want something permanently making my phone bulkier or preventing me from using MagSafe as I use it all the time. This attaching via MagSafe made me wary as I was concerned that the magnet wouldn’t be strong enough, especially since I go caseless. But I’m happy to report the magnet is actually extremely strong—even when I try to disconnect it, it rarely comes off. Of course, a strong pull will detach it, but under normal use, it won’t just slide off. I also had no issues with it slipping in and out of my pocket. The only time it slid off was when I wore very tight pants and didn’t adjust for the extra bulk with my hand. The overall feel is great—the back has a soft, rubbery texture (silicone) that’s nice to hold. The magnet for opening the stand is much weaker, which is good because it’s easy to pop open with one hand. Still, I wish there was a slightly bigger lip to make opening even easier. It’s comfortable to hold, and I can reach all parts of my phone with it attached. Opening the stand with one hand is a bit awkward and takes some getting used to, but that might just be me. As a stand, it works decently, but it has limitations. It’s semi-adjustable, but when used vertically, it usually settles into a single angle. Because of the rounded edges on the grip, vertical mode isn't very sturdy. In horizontal mode, it is more stable, but it’s still basically stuck at one steep tilt, which isn’t always ideal. One feature I really like is that it raises my phone off the table when placed down, which adds extra protection for the back glass and the camera bump. The build quality feels solid. It feels like cardboard reinforced with plastic, so it doesn't feel like it will break easily, and there seems to be some water resistance. Overall, I think this was a good buy. It lets me have the best of both worlds: I get help holding my phone and a kickstand when I need it, and when I want to use my phone as usual, I can just pop it off magnetically—no fuss. Note: there’s no MagSafe attachment on the other side, so if you want to use a MagSafe charger or car mount, you’ll need to remove the Snappy Ripple Grip first. PROS: - Strong MagSafe Connection: The magnet is impressively strong; it handles the "caseless" lifestyle well and doesn't disconnect during normal use. - Great Texture: The silicone back feels soft and rubbery, making it comfortable to hold for long periods. - Protection: Adds a nice buffer that raises the phone’s back glass and camera bump off surfaces when set down. - Removable: Offers the best of both worlds—grip when you need it, easily removable when you want the raw phone feel. - Build Quality: Feels solid and durable (likely reinforced plastic structure) with decent water resistance. CONS: - Limited Stand Angles: The stand basically settles into one fixed angle for both vertical and horizontal modes, which isn't always ideal. - Unstable in Vertical Mode: Due to the rounded edges, the stand can be a bit wobbly/not sturdy when standing vertically. - Pocket Snags: While generally fine, it can slide off if you are wearing tight pants and don't manually adjust for the bulk. - No MagSafe Passthrough: The back of the grip is not magnetic, so you must remove the grip entirely to use a MagSafe charger or car mount. - One-Handed Usability: The lip to open the stand is small, making one-handed deployment a bit awkward until you get used to it.

    Handly Little 'Pinkie Saver'

I picked up the CASETiFY Snappy Ripple Grip Stand, and I’ve been using it with both my iPhone and my Pixel (which has a MagSafe-compatible case). I’ll be honest—I wasn’t sure how well it’d stick, but the magnets are surprisingly strong. Once it’s on there, it’s on there. I’ve never worried about it falling off, even when I’m using it one-handed. The biggest thing I’ve noticed? It’s saved my pinkie. If you’ve got a big phone like I do, you probably do that thing where your pinkie ends up holding all the weight at the bottom. This grip totally changes that. I can hold the phone with my fingers across the back and let my pinkie rest for once. It’s actually way more comfortable than I expected. It’s also great as a little stand. I mostly use it in landscape mode—like if I’m working at my desk and want to glance at something, or especially when I’m traveling. If I’m eating alone , I’ll set it up to watch a show or play a quick game. No more leaning the phone against a ketchup bottle. And it’s not cumbersome to carry with me in my pocket. Only thing I wish it had? Some kind of pass-through for charging or even something that would hold my wallet. I love the functionality of this, but now I have to choose either this or my MagSafe Wallet.

A good concept but a flimsy design

TL;DR - The Casetify Snappy MagSafe phone stand is pretty terrific in concept but feels like it will easily fail in practice. as a device meant to add texture to the back of your phone, it does improve your grip on both a bare phone and a phone in a smooth case. As a stand, the thin plastic mechanism feels like it wants to rip itself apart. Unboxing and first impressions: Casetify nailed this aspect. You slide the bottom of the package out to open the box, and the Snappy is easily removed from the box. When closed, it feels very solid. It snaps to any MagSafe phone or case with ease, meaning it works with nearly every iPhone since the 12 and the new Google Pixel and Samsung Galaxy phones with Qi2 magnetic charging. Usage: The mechanism origami-like, and feels a little delicate. Don’t try to twist to adjust the stand. Wireless charging doesn’t work when you’re using this, too, as Qi/MagSafe won’t be able to connect with the additional thickness. However,, the stand does work well enough for its intended purpose. As for the price? I think the build quality doesn’t justify it. If the stand mechanism was stronger, then it would absolutely be worth the price.

Similar, but nicer than it’s main competitor

TL;DR: SETUP: Unbox it, place it near the back of your MagSafe or magnetic-backed phone, and you’re good to go! Just make sure you place it in the direction you want, as it’s not easy to rotate it once it’s attached, but you can take it off and redirect it. USE: It works well on the back of your bare phone with MagSafe or on a MagSafe case. You can use it as a grip in your fingers or use it in portrait or landscape modes, too. USABILITY: It works best with a MagSafe case. It holds well with a bare phone but not with a case that doesn’t have MagSafe built in. It’s on the thicker side, so you won’t be able to use MagSafe or wireless charging with it on. OVERALL: It holds on super well to my iPhone with a MagSafe case. I wasn’t able to shake it off. With a bare phone, it held on well but popped off in about 4 tries. It didn’t work with a non-MagSafe case. REVIEW: It feels premium and works well. The packaging it came in was very nice. It made you feel like you bought something fancy. There isn’t any one thing that makes it unique versus the competition, but it does everything well and works as expected. The silicone top on it helps it to not slide around on a slick surface. I like that it works as a stand and that you don’t need to use adhesive for it to stay in place very strongly. Overall, it feels like a nicer version of its main competitor.

*****Pros***** -Unique design -Premium Rubber texture -Stain resistant *****Cons***** -Decent Strength Magnets -material could be an issue in the future Ever since working with phones and getting my first MagSafe accessory, I have not been able to go back to a bare bone experience. I have tried several other brands that offer products with similar functions and it is like buying an great expansion to an already existing game. I will say the design for this stand/holder is pretty unique, it gives like a icing in the back of your phone type of vibe or like one of those collapsible water bottles. Anyways, the materials do feel like they are made out of a premium rubber, and the extensions straps also feel durable. I will say my only complaint is probably the magnets. There were a few times where I had the phone in my phone in my pocket and it was time to pull it out, the attachment fell off. Compared to other competitors I will say this is a big drawback for me. Another thing is the angles the stand allows the phone to be able to sit on. There is only a few, so It makes the user try to rotate the attachment hoping for the phone to stand at different orientations. Me, as an avid YouTube watcher on my lunch break, I will say this has become somewhat annoying. In conclusion, there is no denying the stand looks on the back of the phone, I just wish the magnets could be a little stronger. There is strong competition out there for attachments like this, I am a fan of Casetify, but I would only recommend it if you really like the design.

I’ve been on the hunt for a good grip for my phone for a while now. I used to love PopSockets, but they felt a bit bulky and limited in how I could use them as a stand. When I saw this one from CASETiFY, it seemed like it might just be the perfect fit. This grip sits pretty close to the phone when it’s closed. It sticks out just a little more than the ring around the camera plateau on the case. With a bit of practice, I’ve gotten pretty good at popping it out with one hand to hold the phone. Without having to move or spin the grip, I can easily use the stand feature in both portrait and landscape mode. The magnets on the grip are super strong. I was worried about spinning the grip on the case because I’d placed it a bit crooked on the phone, and I thought I might ruin the grip if I added too much force. The white ripple outside feels really nice to the touch—soft without being sticky. I find myself just rubbing my thumb along the ripples, fidgeting with it. Overall, I’m really happy with this grip and love how it works, looks, and feels. The magnets are strong, it’s easy to hold the phone, and the material’s texture and the ripples are just nice.
