After the ludicrous absurdity that was Die Another Day, Casino Royale comes in to save the franchise, by rebooting and starting fresh with Ian Fleming's original work, and this time... It was done right. This may very well be the best 007 film ever. And they kept Judi Dench! If you haven't seen Mads Mikkelsen on Hannibal, then you have doubly been missing out, because he is fantastic in both of these things. Daniel Craig is without a doubt the best Bond since Connery, if not just as good (in a different way). Also the Artwork on this Steelbook is really awesome. Unfortunately, this films' sequels fall flat and kill the franchise :(

Bought the four Daniel Craig James Bond movies in 4K Blu-ray Steelbook Edition. Each one has different color background which really sets them off. And of course, they're all fine films with great story and plenty of action. Daniel Craig is probably the best James Bond since Sean Connery, and that's not knocking Roger Moore, George Lazenby, Timothy Dalton, or Pierce Brosnan. All had their own style of playing 007. Highly recommend these editions. They're sooo good.

At first I didn't like Daniel Craig as 007 because he's brutal and has no class compared to e.g. Sean Connery. But looking at it as an interesting action flick traveling around the world with some very tense and fast-paced scenes and having seen Casino Royale many times, there are many hidden gems in the movie that are only discovered by watching the film several times. Casino Royale is an adventure and it's fun to watch. It also has a great supporting cast and the story line is engaging with great scenery in the Bahamas and in Venice, Italy among other exciting locales.

This 4K UHD release of 2006's Casino Royale begins the Daniel Craig era as the British 00 agent James Bond. The 4K disc is a slight upgrade over the near reference level quality of the 2K blu-ray, which is included as well as digital code. Saturation and details get a boost and while a new Dolby Atmos mix would be most welcomed, the repurposed DTS-HD Master Audio mix is really superb. Get it while it is on sale..

I dont care if you saw Dr. No in theaters in 1962, or Spectre was your first theatrical experience with Bond, this film is one of the all-time great Bond films. People were so angry that Craig was named Bond..."because he has blonde hair." Craig is either tied for best Bond of all-time with my boy Connery, or barely squeaks ahead for the no. 1 spot. Casino Royale will blow your mind with how gritty and real it feels. And that is how Fleming intended it to be. Not that crapfest involving Brosnan (minus Goldeneye..also directed by Campbell).

Just purchased a New Samsung 4K UHD 65" Q90T Q-LED TV and got a Samsung 4K UHD Blu-ray DVD player with a Samsung Q950T Surround Bar System and purchased this 4K UHD Movie as it is one of my many favorites. The ATMOS DTX surround sound and Picture are awesome! Like being in a Movie Theater, especially since theatres have been closed due to COVID-19. The 4K DVD was at a good price too during black Friday sales.

After watching the movie, I was totally pleased and satisfied with the disc, and the Bond. In fact, I didn't have any qualms to introduce my girlfriend to the Bond world with it, and let it be Her first Bond. And we look forward to our next Blu-ray Bond experience, be it a High Definition 1.85 '60s Dr. No, or a second Craig movie, perhaps a remake of the second Bond novel (with the new Felix Leiter returning to), Live And Let Die Because with Bond and Blu-ray, Tomorrow Never Knows It's only the beginning. (cue Bond theme here)

Decent steelbook with a simple but clean design. Looks nice when placed with the other Bond steelbooks in the 4K collection. Film is in 4K but special features are only on the standard blu ray disc. Having the film and features all in 4K would've been nice but that's likely going to be reserved for a future release. Personally, I think this is the best looking of the four Craig 007 film 4K steelbooks.

I don't need to go on about how amazing the movie is; that's already well-established. This exclusive steelbook release caught my eye because of how beautiful the opening credits-inspired cover art is. It would look great on any blu-ray collector's shelf. Additionally, I was happy to find that this is not just a bare-bones release of the film, but comes with a plethora of special features as well. I'd highly recommend picking up this fantastic release in case it's only a limited-time run.

There’s the over-the-top story-line, a superbly dynamic sound-track, and the most-believable sound-effects to hold your attention while you enjoy the high-stakes drama. As the new James Bond 007 James Craig pulls his own weight and he always seems to surround himself with the best of everything – cloths, food, wine, cars, and let’s not forget women. Its’ a strong story that needs an audience more than once so I plan to view it again!

One of the best reboots of all time. The vision of this new age of bond is just so good and this films stands on it's own legs with fantastic personality and plot. Super thrilling and despite some of the premise being in casino, it's anything but boring.

An absolutely incredible movie. Full of action and suspense, a lot of incredible moments fill this movie's entire length. It's one of my personal favorites, and being able to own it in 4K is fantastic. Just wish it was easier to buy the steelbook: hopefully they make a new one when Daniel Craig's last Bond film releases on disc.

I collect steel books like they're going out of style (which, hopefully, they won't). This is one of the nicer ones I own, very stylish, even the colors & the artistry of the cover have a very Bond-like feel to it. The quality of the blu-ray is fantastic, great video & clear sound. I highly recommend this product to anyone who is an avid collector of films such as myself (689 and counting). Makes a very nice addition to the collection.

Casino Royale is the perfect introduction to Daniel Craig. Craig casts aside the cheesy and near comical image left behind by pierce brosnan for a grittier and masculine James. The movie lays the groundwork for the entire series of Craig bond which means it is long and slow in some parts. However, Royale makes every moment count and has plenty of moments to get your blood pumping. My personal favorite of the four Craig Bond movies

If you love James Bond movies, this is a must have. Just the beginning with all the parkour you get sucked into the movie. Eva Green, as beautiful and talented as always, delivers as Vesper one of the best bond girl performances I've ever seen. Daniel Craig is probable the best bond yet, but that's just my opinion. The action, the story, the performances, just everything overall has made this my favorite bond movie, so far.

Craig is outstanding as a believable character, beating his antagonists with his wit rather than might. Takes a beating more than once and does not have his hair in "in place". Casino Royale is an excellent launch of the books and character with an exceptional plot and breathtaking scenes. I would recommend to anyone, Bond fan or not.

Casino Royale, the first film in the Daniel Craig Bond saga, adds a bit more realism and in-your-face action than previous installments, trading a bit of original camp for more of a Bourne Identity flair. It works perfectly. Action, worldwide locations, plot twists, and cool tech are still found in abundance, but Craig's Bond is definitely the man for the "new" world we live in.

This is a great movie. I personally saw Skyfall before I saw this, and they are pretty evenly matched. I'm not the biggest Bond fan, I have only seen a handful, but this is no doubt one of the best rated and for good reason. This steelbook was a good pickup since I hadn't seen it and was told if I liked Skyfall then I might like this one even better. If you don't own it, buy this steelbook exclusively at Best Buy.

Best bond I’ve seen. Fun, creative, and colorful. Daniel Craig is a great and Eva Green is dashing. It’s a movie you put in and admire. Bond at his peak IMO. And that one scene was ... excruciating! I loved it and had a blast. I recommend it to anyone who wants a classic spy movie. 9/10

Casino Royale is great, but you have to love bond movies. It reminds me of the classic bond movies, like the Sean Connery era. It's not full of unrealistic explosions, There's no kite surfing like in Die another Day and there's no Lamborghini falling out of a plane, well I guess that could really happen........anyway. This is a real movie in a real world, plus I bought it on sale for like 5 bucks.
