And, older people were intimidated by all those buttons. The display is large and easy to read for anyone. And, there is an auto-off feature. This is a nice calculator at a good price.

This is the best little calculator and works fine. Does other types of problems with math and such but I only use it to add and subtract. It's small and doesn't take up a lot of room.
