For most of the movie, Tom Hanks is alone on an island, surviving. That the movie goes beyond man vs the wild is a tribute to the writer and director. Great movie.

Tom Hanks works for FedEx, they crash in SE Ocean he survives, this is the main premise for the story. In the end he is rescued and goes home to see all his loved ones have moved on.

I watched this in theaters when i was in high school. i fell in love. ive never seen anything like this. I hate the Wilson part. i cry every time lol

I love Tom Hanks as an actor and this movie is just one of those movies you like to watch on a cold day on the couch with the lights out and a blanket. Not his best but definitely a classic plot of the stranded man on an Island fighting for survival!

I got this movie during the pandemic because chuck Nolan is isolated on an island. Great movie! Top 3 Hanks movies!

A very good character study. The missteps, the thoughts and feelings are well played. One can only imagine the sense of hopelessness.

Cast Away is a good movie about isolation and finding yourself in a survival situation under extraordinary circumstances. I recommend it highly for Tom Hanks' great performance. And the blu-ray version is good, the picture & sound look great.

Tom Hanks gets stranded on an island, he has to survive all elements and keep his head. His acting is like Morgan Freeman narrating films. Both are excellent. He really shows off his acting ability. If anyone can make a film with all time spent on one person , it's him. Check this out, own it.

This movie grips you from the start and keeps you drawn in throughout! Such a great story and amazing acting.

Who knew that a film that has (basically) 1 actor (except for Wilson, LOL) could be so mesmerizing. Hanks is PHENOMENAL and takes you with him on his journey.

The movie was on a really great sale. I'm happy I purchased this for my husband. We usually always pass this over but the deal was too good to ignore.
